  1. two 2021 second rounders to give the filth the points they need to claim daicos OR our first rounder in 2022 for mine get it done
  2. all games vs gc17 will be graveyard slots for the remainder of this season and beyond; you could definitely see it being a saturday twilight fixture
  3. it REALLY annoys me that the caption is 'mid season review' and the title is 'mid-season update' for the goodwin one great content tho
  4. c'mon tasmanian kangaroos...
  5. gold coast has long been a graveyard for professional sports clubs
  6. has robbie gray done his knee in his 250th?
  7. along with gw$, they're there so the afl can make an extra $30m per year on the broadcast rights... ...of course, it costs $50m to support them...
  8. It’s crazy isn’t it, almost like she understands modern footfall… Cats down two midfield rotations if Parfitt has joined Duncan on the sidelines
  9. yeah, but it used to be $1m for two i think - one in the alice, one in darwin
  10. that's cos the hawks of the mid-2010s continued to 'sell' four games a year to tasmania throughout the entire decade and made a motza out of it thanks to a deal that, from memory ian dicker, did in 2001 that kennett took credit for achieving for the last 20 years, to the tune of about $50m for four games per year in launceston by comparison we get around $1m for two games a year in the nt
  11. - Cats? - Pear - Bears - GW$? - Peptides?
  12. mac andrew out of cal twomey's underage team of the year; sounds like there's a couple of genuine key forwards in the west who are emerging as likely prospects https://www.afl.com.au/news/632305/twomey-s-draft-team-of-the-year-wa-goalkickers-on-target-saint-s-brother-in Mac Andrew, an unlucky omission given his form at the start of the season but who this week will return for his first NAB League game in a month after Victoria's latest COVID-19 outbreak. good luck to him as his season resumes (but not too much luck as we clearly would like to claim him with a pick after 20)
  13. great result for the peptides
  14. all good if you look at his numbers you can see the massive drop-off from pre- to post-injury - it's almost like (surprise, surprise) he can't run at the moment it's a significant duty of care issue for mine
  15. he started the season so well and since coming down with plantar fasciitis he's looked cruelled by the injury it's almost a black mark on the aints that they're continuing to play him when he's clearly so hampered
  16. i don't know how you factor in those %s of wins for me there's 1 of possible three results for every match-up; win, lose, or draw footy is a funny ol' game...
  17. it will be interesting to see whether, now josh mahoney is at the peptides, we're as much of a wheeler-dealer club as we have been lately as i've said before, i would like to think we could use them both to get maynard; if not, i think we should be targeting footscray's first round pick at the moment that sits as pick 17 - undoubtedly it'll slide back a few places in the actual draft, after father-son and academy selections, but it is little value to the dogs as they have luke darcy's son who will, undoubtedly, command a pick in the top handful when the push comes to shove, and after that first rounder their picks have no 'points' value whatsoever at the moment the dogs have picks 17, 71, 89 we have picks 33, 38, 53, 90 if we can't prise maynard away from collingwood for 33 and 38 - and thus giving the filth the collateral to draft daicos, the consensus pick 1 or 2 at this stage, which they will need 2400 points to claim (they currently have the equivalent of 1677 with their draft picks) - then we should be looking to use them to trade into the first round for another club that needs 'points' - all of the filth, footscray, gw$ and i think gc17 have likely first round father-son / academy selections that they going to need to accrue points lest they go into 'debt' in 2022 the current value of 33 and 38 is 1028 points, or the equivalent of around about pick 17 if we add 53 to it it's the equivalent of 1261 points, approximately pick 13
  18. that's a shame if he is homesick and wants to leave but, ultimately, we have to show him the value in staying
  19. still happy to give our 2022 first rounder for him gun
  20. doing a ladder predictor, got us finishing 3rd behind geelong and footscray; prelim against the dogs and i suspect it'll be played at the mcg over the docklands carpark because the cats will play a 'home' final on their own dung heap against either the pear (which is what my predictor mocked out) or the bears
  21. harry mckay has signed a two year extension with carlton; takes him thru to free agency
  22. we definitely missed someone with 'smarts' around half forward to kick it i50 i'mma second those changes, but it'll be interesting to see who would be the medi-sub...i suspect one of melksham or jordon, given that viney will start straight away as an inside mid option
  23. tbh i'd prefer to just name the first two, but if 6 must be called... 6: lever 5: jackson 4: petracca 3: salem 2: gawn 1: jordon that was an ugly, ugly watch
