2021 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
whatwhat say what replied to TRIGON's topic in Melbourne Demons
Most games with Port Adelaide - 86 - so falls short of being a chance for consecutive years of a super talent being called out and 'claimed' by a top tier team. -
goldstein should've pushed harder a couple of years back to go to the cats with all the other geriatrics - he has been an excellent player for a long time and probably 'deserves' more success than he's had / will have in the twilight of his career

it is pretty rare for ch 7 to air two interstate sides against each other as a fta broadcast thinking about it further and factoring in the games set for the same round, i think the one against the bears might be a chance for the 3.20pm spot on sunday from the alice, and sydney far more likely to be fox but it could also be the sunday fta spot rd 7 vs north - fox sports (sunday at 1.10pm) rd 8 vs sydney - fox sports (sunday at 1.10pm) rd 9 vs carlton - toss up but you'd think fox sports (saturday afternoon at 2.10pm 1.45pm) rd 10 vs adelaide crows - fox sports (saturday night at 7.25pm) rd 11 vs footscray - channel 7 (saturday night at 7.25pm or sunday arvo at 3.20pm) rd 12 vs brisbane lions - channel 7 (sunday arvo at 3.20pm) rd 13 vs collingwood - channel 7 (monday at 3.20pm) a lot may factor in to how we go in the next round or two and whether they actually only do up til round 10

also something for all defenders to note for the rest of the round - players on the defensive side wrapping their arms around the oppo are getting pinged every time rule of the week for round 3!
-
josh bruce set for a bag be interesting to see how big the crowd is 28,057 there last nite
-
current mix seems to, at the opening bounce: gawn oliver petracca pickett then the rotations seem to be: jackson for gawn viney for pickett jordon for petracca sparrow for oliver at some stages late in quarters in particular anb and jones roll through too i like the variety - makes us far less predictable

2021 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch

As Horne is the step-son of Fabian Francis, is he eligible for anyone as a father-son? or did he not play enough games to qualify for us, the bears, or the power? -
while laitham vandermeer might be of interest to us - cracker name that he has - hes just one of a couple of other footscray players out of contract i like the look of of: ed richards laitham vandermeer cody weightman pastrick lipinski roarke smith also very interested to see what they do with jason johanissen, who is back for his first game this season this week after stewing in the practices matches for the magoos for the opening two rounds of the afl season he's only 28, 29 at the start of 2022, with one year remaining on his contract

Clayton Oliver Contract negotiations
whatwhat say what replied to picket fence's topic in Melbourne Demons
i thought it was fairly well accepted that clayton wasn't a happy camper last year? afaik, he didn't request a trade and no offer was forthcoming for him from a rival club i remain confident he'll sign a new deal with us at some stage this year and go on to become a demon legend -
Brodie Grundy had 54 hitouts ... Brisbane’s ruck, Tom Fullarton, had three. Collingwood only won the clearances by five.
-
be interesting to see what figjam does at the end of the year in every interview and press conference for the past couple of years he's look exhausted he clearly can coach but he looks completely over it

Your Top 5 Demons Players of All Time
whatwhat say what replied to Craig Drinker's topic in Melbourne Demons
brilliant post @Colin B. Flaubert pretty much my thoughts in terms of my top 5 players since i started following the club in 85 or so, but in terms of ye apologies i'd swap gaddy out for oliver i personally think that oliver and trac will go into my top 5 if they can win a premiership or a dozen with the dees -
his balance and agility is so exciting to watch
-
