  5. It’s ‘meth coke’
  6. More and more players - particularly those with families - are moving down the peninsula as a vague “tree change” from inner suburban living I don’t think Casey as a home base for the MFC is as unattractive as it used to be
  7. St Kilda v Geelong on a Friday night? Really?? Helps when the ceo goes for you I guess
  8. Some talk in the little paper that Ed Richards from the dogs could be looking for fresh opportunities Would be a nice addition for outside run as a defender / offensive wing option
  9. it's likely we can put a line through him, yeah? gone from a 'project' player to one destined to be a top 20 pick how's kobi george going?
  10. i wish we could move to toorak park and victory square, but the massive housing block that's gone up there (for obvious reasons) took priority
  11. fwiw, max in a recent interview talked about what a difference training at casey over gosch's has made to setting up defensive structures the players previously 'felt' that they were set up okay based on their defensive set-up and patterns with regards to the way they would set up at gosch's and the space they would have to defend it was only once they went out to casey and a 'full size' ground akin to the mcg that they realised how much space they were leaving open with their previous set-ups
  12. melksham's field passing was superb from my spot on the afl member's wing - that scythe of a pass from just on the d50 arc to petracca just on the f50 arc before trac bombed to jackson / plugger mac for free and play-on goal was a thing of beauty can't see him being dropped
  13. mostly from the back i think - they'll both be predominantly 'black' with white numbers when did poppies start becoming associated with anzac day? it's relatively recently, yeah? edit - from the australian war museum, turns out it's not as recent as i necessarily thought, dates back to 1940: The poppy has also become very popular in wreaths used on Anzac Day. An early instance took place in Palestine, where poppies grow abundantly in the spring. At the Dawn Service in 1940 each soldier dropped a poppy as he filed past the Stone of Remembrance. A senior Australian officer also a laid a wreath of poppies picked from the slopes of Mt Scopus. Poppies adorn the panels of the Memorial's Roll of Honour, placed beside names as a small personal tribute to the memory of a particular person, or to any of the thousands of individuals commemorated there. This practice began at the interment of the Unknown Australian Soldier on 11 November 1993. As people waited to lay a single flower by his tomb in the Hall of Memory, they had to queue along the cloisters, beside the Roll of Honour. By the end of the day, hundreds of RSL poppies had been pushed into the cracks between the panels bearing the names of the fallen.
  14. tigers fans say the same thing about jason castagna he's a three-time premiership player cos of the pressure that he puts on and workrate that he has while he is playing like he is he most definitely won't be dropped
  15. hmm, not sure i agree with that from midway thru the first quarter onwards, the general 'vibe' around me in the southern stand was that we were significantly on top but we just weren't converting on the scoreboard; the same case for the majority of the year thus far tbh and i'm talking bout hawks and dees fans - the former were happy to be hanging around on the scoreboard and being 'in the game' as it stood, much as they have for much of the year, whereas we were clearly trying to find a way to get on top on the scoreboard as well as around the ground i long for the arrogance of being a tigers supporter
  16. could do worse than model his game on shai bolton - lightly framed, quick, but strong, and hard at the contest

  18. who doesn't love this absolute warrior of a footballer? epitomises the resilience and attitude that it takes to back up again and again so that he can deliver the best he can for the club can't wait to see him get a win in his 300th in front of a massive crowd in a massive game
  19. slobbo spent four years browbeating buckley to the point that the latter walked away from a nice chunk of change to get off the show this is the first time that slobbo has been able to 'go' at him in years; safe to say he relished it
