  1. it will be interesting to see whether, now josh mahoney is at the peptides, we're as much of a wheeler-dealer club as we have been lately as i've said before, i would like to think we could use them both to get maynard; if not, i think we should be targeting footscray's first round pick at the moment that sits as pick 17 - undoubtedly it'll slide back a few places in the actual draft, after father-son and academy selections, but it is little value to the dogs as they have luke darcy's son who will, undoubtedly, command a pick in the top handful when the push comes to shove, and after that first rounder their picks have no 'points' value whatsoever at the moment the dogs have picks 17, 71, 89 we have picks 33, 38, 53, 90 if we can't prise maynard away from collingwood for 33 and 38 - and thus giving the filth the collateral to draft daicos, the consensus pick 1 or 2 at this stage, which they will need 2400 points to claim (they currently have the equivalent of 1677 with their draft picks) - then we should be looking to use them to trade into the first round for another club that needs 'points' - all of the filth, footscray, gw$ and i think gc17 have likely first round father-son / academy selections that they going to need to accrue points lest they go into 'debt' in 2022 the current value of 33 and 38 is 1028 points, or the equivalent of around about pick 17 if we add 53 to it it's the equivalent of 1261 points, approximately pick 13
  2. that's a shame if he is homesick and wants to leave but, ultimately, we have to show him the value in staying
  3. still happy to give our 2022 first rounder for him gun
  4. doing a ladder predictor, got us finishing 3rd behind geelong and footscray; prelim against the dogs and i suspect it'll be played at the mcg over the docklands carpark because the cats will play a 'home' final on their own dung heap against either the pear (which is what my predictor mocked out) or the bears
  5. harry mckay has signed a two year extension with carlton; takes him thru to free agency
  6. we definitely missed someone with 'smarts' around half forward to kick it i50 i'mma second those changes, but it'll be interesting to see who would be the medi-sub...i suspect one of melksham or jordon, given that viney will start straight away as an inside mid option
  7. tbh i'd prefer to just name the first two, but if 6 must be called... 6: lever 5: jackson 4: petracca 3: salem 2: gawn 1: jordon that was an ugly, ugly watch
  8. just haven't looked like it all game unfortunately too many passengers today too much hollywood football
  9. they're playing much smarter, more disciplined defensive football than us
  10. we look so flat
  11. petty, unfortunately being given a bath filth playing much smarter football
  12. filth's pressure better than ours early days
  13. or jordon or hunt maggots going early with those play on calls nibbler on fire
  14. alistair lynch on fox coverage said 20-21,000 expected today
  15. i don't know how you all booze on during games i'm far too apprehensive and copious alcohol consumption doesn't help that said... might have a couple of nice gin and freshly squeezed lemon with a drop of homemade lemon cordial with a dash of elderflower tonic with lunch...
  16. @GCDee beat me to it...
  17. six hours for talking footy? he's having a lend there
  18. the accuracy of meth coke's goalkicking is fantastic; keeping them in it
  19. definitely a big decision coming up for josh kelly - he stays at gw$ and he's got a guaranteed $8m in his back pocket with another 8 years on an afl list but the query is does he want to stay? i can't see another club going close to the contract that awaits him with gw$
  20. north are a different team down in tasmania
  21. but but but he stopped him from marking it! that's VERBOTEN!! truly one of the more bizarre reasons given by a maggot for some time
  22. razor is a reasonably good decision-maker more often than not nicholls is horrible, and hates melbourne ever since gawn belted away an errant bounce once they are incredibly precious but it's an unforgiving role - they are made to adjudicate on grey areas that can be interpreted differently by three blokes on the field at any time; they should make them full-time professionals and reduce it to two on field at all times
  23. tim english was taken by the dogs with pick 19 in 2016 callum coleman-jones was taken by the tigers with pick 20 in 2018 we obviously picked luke jackson with pick 3 in 2019, and sam de koning was picked by the cats with pick 19 in the same year just last year, nik cox (pick 8 last year for the peptides) has already had a couple of centre bounce attendances despite being as skinny as a rake, and i would imagine zach reid (pick 10, same mob) will inevitably be taught the craft of ruck work too, given that they're both 200cm tall
