  1. flagmantle don't look capable of coming close to kicking a winning score it's glorrrious
  2. bears 2+ goals up at quarter time 💀🏇 starting well
  3. i've seen worse-on-paper mfc sides than that over the years
  4. was ecstatic to get him, as opposed to the milkshake acquisition the year before both have favourite memories for different reasons - milkshake for the goal vs hawks in the semi and hibbo for THAT run the way he's playing this year he'll go on next year
  5. aints? bears bloods? footscray us bluebaggers puddy tatts tiggas? crom? first time all season i've been 'confident' in more than half the tips
  6. he's spent 21 years getting to know the business and where the bodies are buried...and where to bury them... his big briefs will be racism and concussion until the next tv rights deal begins to open negotiations in 2028 or so he'll have a lot on his hands the indecision at governance level re the 4:3 split to not appoint kylie watson-wheeler becoming public is an indication of how fractious the relationships are at the decision-making level of the game
  7. did more with 11 touches vs the tiggas than others with double that amount his running is incredible and he would be very difficult to replace
  8. the way he came in and belted that tiggas dude who dropped his knees into jvr was great he's a very different style of ruckman to gawn, and as our mids get used to him having them both fit and firing is going to be a massive advantage
  9. my preference is to leverage two great players out of three picks, not one
  10. a year and $1.5m of consulting and it was the bloke down the hall all along ...again
  11. they were shockingly poor against a gc17 that shouldn't be that much better than them clarko will fire them up to come up against us, no doubt
  12. so by my count that's... 2023 - kynan brown 2024 - noah yze 2025 - kalani white 2026 - jake brown 2027 - marley davey 2028 - ryder brown 2029 - kai and tahj white surely there's more!
  13. the dual introduction of two franchises in consecutive years and free agency artificially kept the cream at the top for longer in the early 2010s - it meant regeneration of talent through the draft was negated by the draft concessions while hawthorn in particular and geelong to a lesser extent were able to use free agency to stay at the top for longer it will be interesting to see if a taswegian team and the likely mid-season trade period introduction around the same time has a similar effect
  14. aints are the best defensive side in the competition - conceded 100 less points than the next best, geelong, and their points for is pretty solid too, coming in mid table fwiw we are 2nd for points scored (2 less than the cats) and 6th for points against in terms of points differential we're third with +143 behind puddy tatts (+173) and aints (+153)
  15. oi, montagna, langdon wants a word... josh daicos the best wingman in the game pfffft
  16. second only to bluebottle kiss for mine
  17. nope, that'd push us from 3rd to 4th!
  18. 25-35k, about 80% of which will be dees fans
  19. you'd think there's going to have to be some changes given the five day turnaround why is spargo out another week? i would've thought he was fine as he's past the 12 day protocol for concussion symptoms and he was back in the training mix during this week (just saw the goodwin presser and he said spargo remains out for a further week) may was very sore and rivers was subbed out; wouldn't surprise me if either missed the other consideration is rotation of ruckmen - grundy has now played a lot more minutes probably than originally anticipated - and midfielders - i'd be keen to see someone other that sparrow given an opportunity bowey was poor in the first half - wasn't on his pat malone - but second half was much approved, as was the entire team OUT: may, grundy, rivers / sparrow IN: harmes, schache, brown laurie remains the sub, with petty returning to defence
  20. 6: viney 5: neal-bullen 4: hibberd 3: chandler 2: petracca 1: oliver chin and roo turned the game, but trac and clayton sneak into the votes ahead of the latter
  21. he gets the #37 before inheriting the #11 when gawn retires as a seven time premiership legend, right?
  22. gotta say, i love the defensive pressure the aints are putting on it's a long season ahead, but there's no reason to think that they won't be back at the pointy end it's almost like that ross lyon bloke knows how to coach defensive structures and get players to execute accordingly
  23. solid choke job by poos&wees
