CASEY: Rd 21 vs Carlton VFL
really surprised by the positivity about tomlinson can't see him getting back into the afl side based on that performance, particularly as more good afl teams are going 'smaller' rather than 'taller' dunstan, spargo, laurie, woey 2.0 the best of the afl-listed players edit: although, in saying that, hawks do appear to have multiple 'bigs' that it might be handy to have tommo help play on alongside may

CASEY: Rd 21 vs Carlton VFL
no one wanted him he has the turning circle of chris lamb i think he competes well on the air but he's one of those too good for vfl, not good enough for afl type

CASEY: Rd 21 vs Carlton VFL
it's literally the ch 7 broadcast tho? spargo a moral to play afl next week if he gets thru the rest of this game and training during the week unscathed too good for vfl level

Josh Mahoney to depart Essendon.
great question i would say it would depend on where the club is at - for instance, how much oversight does the coach have over much of the football dept anyway, from strength-and-conditioning to recruitment and list management to reporting up into the board etc. one advantage of having someone with somewhat of a remove from the coach is that it allows them to have some sense of independence while also letting the coach get on with the job of, well, coaching

Which hated player would you love to love at the Dees?
i don't really 'hate' any players, but i'm not a fan of the personality and / or behaviour of: crom: tex bears: zorko baggers: jack martin filth: cox, de goey, howe peptides: stringer flagmantle: dogga puddy tatts: hawkins, cameron, dangerfield, tuohy gc17: can't think of one gw$: does $cully count still dorks: can't think of one north: can't think of one pear: horne-francis tiggas: lynch, jack aints: can't think of one, mebbe brad hill bloods: papley meth coke: darling footscray: weightman of that lot i would happily have de goey, dogga, cameron, horne-francis, lynch, papley, weightman on our list

had a rough time at the peptides - it's funny how much control over that club is still held by folks who have lead them into obscurity
