  1. reckon the mfc are gunning for top spot, @binman?
  2. how was it joe aston recently described goyder? "deeply weird" or something like that
  3. yeah, but it's still perth
  4. when in doubt; wiki - In 2016, the grand final replay was abolished. As for other finals matches, drawn grand finals are now resolved with two five-minute periods of extra time; if the scores are still tied at the end of the extra time period, play will continue until the next score.[3] The procedure was modified in 2019 so that three-minute halves of extra time would be played until a winner was determined.
  5. barring anything unforseen at training... YES
  6. this reminds of plugger mac trying to come back for finals last year ultimately we chose not to risk him as, at the end of the home and away season last year, we were actually going okay and finding a way to get the wins without him
  7. it we don't trade up for harley reid - which is my preference - then it would be quite funny if we picked wa lad curtin with flagmantle's pick, and then nominated their academy player with our own selection if he gets nominated inside 40 they lose access to him, i believe? what style of ruckman do you see mitchell edwards developing into, @spirit of norm smith? what's his forward 'craft' like?
  8. i thought drawn grand finals were a thing of the past now, and they just played extra time?
  9. two questions, both cos like @binman i'm annoyed with the football media why isn't petracca ever talked about as being one of the very best players in the competition? all this year we've heard naicos this, the bont that, but other than where it counts - i.e. coach's votes - petracca seems to get short shrift by the media for his incredible influence on games...why? when will kozi pickett be recognised for the extraordinary player he is fast becoming? he's heading for his third year of 40+ goals per season out of four seasons in the competition, while his defensive workrate is going to a higher level each season basically, why do melbourne players get ignored when compared to those from other clubs?
  10. i just don't see what role he would fulfil for us he's undersized as a ruck and he's not tall / strong enough to play as a true key forward poor man's fritsch
  11. flagmantle need to trade darcy out and let dog cook - he needs to play 80% in the ruck, as do most of the best ruckmen i fully expect he'll be one of the best players in the competition over the next decade
  12. yeah sure...tomatoes...
  13. premiership and pick 1 still on like donkey kong
  14. kemp in trouble for the baggers when are the commentators coming for the filth, the pear, and the bears and their forward connection and scoring issues, eh?
  15. nah, if they make it they make it but they play a pretty ugly brand of footy to watch
  16. ...not really? do not rate as a forward option and gawn's work around the ground has been extraordinary these last few weeks
  17. there's no match-up for tomlinson at the baggers so can't see him coming in OUT: petty, harmes IN: oliver smith forward and hibb comes into the 22
  18. 6: petracca 5: nibbler 4: gawn 3: pickett 2: viney 1: brayshaw
  19. thank goodness that's over
  20. impossible to tell until he has scans you'd think
  21. 2 goals 3 and 2 oof for trac? such a poor converter
  22. 4-6 weeks for syndesmosis as a rule, yeah?
  23. that'll have to be 4-6 weeks for petty with that inverse ankle roll, you'd think gonna miss him
