Jetta gone for a week, Vince free to play.

lol they spin a wheel down there and see what punishment comes up. Surely. -
Pay more attention.

Frustrating, at arms length all day, we're just not as good as them. Their short kicks through our defence are what the teams we've beaten can't do. Their kicking is top notch, their team defence just as good. I liked the effort, thought we deserved to be closer but the umpires didn't pay [censored] our way.

The Jesse Hogan Panic Room - all contract talk here
Deestroy All replied to Grapeviney's topic in Melbourne Demons
Was my post that hard to read? Was it referring to Jesse? Well it's in the Jesse Hogan contract thread so probably. Locked in to us? Jay Clark has already said he's 98% sure Jesse will re-sign so "He's locked in" would mean he's absolutely sure he'll re-sign with us, the Melbourne Demons. Why can't you see it, because it was a private tweet, as I said. Next time I'll post a riddle so it can be understood straight away. -

For what it's worth and to add to the 98%, I saw a private tweet from Jay Clark today that simply said "He's locked in" I don't know how on the money Jay Clark usually is, but he seems pretty sure. -
That kid is silk. Awesome talent. Skinny kid in his 5th game, I wouldn't put too much stock into last nights performance.

Kent must've injured his back in that vicious tackle from Saad when he kicked that goal. -
Hope the Red Cross was there with a couple ten gallon drums.

Yeah I didn't mind this interview, seemed freer, like a bourden had been lifted. Was asked if he was offended about Goodwin getting the credit for how we're playing. He said paraphrasing "not at all, if anyone should be offended it's the other assistants who have all been fantastic at their jobs, if you knew how a footy club was run you'd know how much they all contribute." Cop that David King. Addressed the veil of negativity around the supporters comment he made last year, says he understands the criticism he copped, doesn't care, he said it and they had to address and deal with it last year. All that sort of stuff (player negativity) is not mentioned now. No need, it's new players now. Not talking finals, they all know where we're at. But he seemed to me a lot more comfortable, proud maybe.

McCarthy?

Good points and I have already pondered them. Richmond have been letting Martin visit old mate in NZ, and apart from 3qts last week his form has been dog [censored]. I wouldn't be happy with that, but different circumstances. If Jesse's dad is sick then he had to go. A friend told me it was a scheduled visit so I'm not sure which story is true. If he plays, and plays badly I won't be happy, but I'm still content with the club looking after its young players. It's a conondrum.
-
Yet what if that's one of the factors that keeps him happy and he re-signs? Even if he goes you'll know you've got a club that is doing what it can to keep its players happy. It's not all doom and gloom.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JIMMY TOUMPAS
Deestroy All replied to Demanding Success's topic in Melbourne Demons
Yet you open a thread about him, type a couple of lines about it, click reply. Someone that's moved on wouldn't put in that effort. -
Me and the Cuzzy Bee go way back. He's alright. He wears his emotions on his keyboard. Comes across over the top at times but I've always had time for him.

I'm not sure what I'll need to apologise for, just letting you know that players around the league go home from time to time. But if the time comes that he leaves, and it makes you feel better, I'll happily apologise.

It is common that clubs with a well run player welfare program let players visit home (should it be interstate) during the year. Relax.
