When i was playing U/18 we has just had an all in and they had 19 players on the field and kicked a couple of goals, my coach told me to tell the umpire as i was the captain but the umpire wouldn't listen to me and we lost by 1 goal! That would have been wierd seeing their score just get wiped.

Ash, a few years ago i stood there with my mate and cheered every sydney goal and im sure ill cheer the blues like i would melbourne. It's more the fact i DON'T want carlton to get the pick than us to get a better pick, if the number 1 pick wouldn't go to the blues i would prefer to belt the crap out of them!

I agree it seems harsh but byrnes got 5 weeks pre season, only served 4 due to early plea or good record, the thing that really went against johnson was he had time to stop or to tackle but chose to continue to bump him.

I would say oh for a bartram or a ling or a some one who can do a job but also use the ball.

No, they get enough wrong without sending off someone who might not have deserved it. I know the ben johnson case is easy to judge in the heat of battle but there will be other cases where the ump makes a bad decision and it affects the game.
