  1. Well done to all involved, Especially to Jimmy and the board who have come in and this club has risen from the ashes of what we were. As said the sky is the limit and now we have to make sure that we use the extra money wisely and invest back into the club to make us as strong as any other.
  2. Have not read all the posts here but the early ones all think Bennell should be dropped. If so I ask who will play the defensive role he does on the most damaging/running HBF for the opposition? I think Bennell does a good job of that and if he can get his goal kicking a little better it would raise him up a lot more. How often is he out outlet across half forward where we kick the ball over his head and he burns off the opposition?
  3. If cox was 27 I'd be interested for the right pick, but 29 is too old.
  4. It's more when he is pressured he will sell his teammates with bad handballs and his kicking is woeful a fair bit these days. But his last month has been exceptional.
  5. I'm far from a biased Melbourne supporter but seriously re read your first post, if that is not having a go at some one who got praise from the commentators, press and a lot of others then I do not know what is, you said it was pretty much his worst game and he was [censored]. Be you I talking about.
  6. And here we go again.... Some people on here will never be happy with what ever Watts does.
  7. Ecxactly Rhino. The last 2 weeks especially, if he can maintain that form over a full year he will move up into the elite bracket.
  8. If we make the finals and or finish 9th the expectation on the club will skyrocket for next year. part of me wants them to achieve as high as they can, part of me wants to stay a bit off the pace to avoid all the extra hype like Richmond and Essendon have had in the last few years.
  9. Love the Kid. As said once he got his brain switched on the right track he could be anything in this game. Next year should be aiming for AA selection and the Bluey, if he applies himself he will get there no problems. Relishing the midfield at the moment.
  10. Yeah I reckon if push come to shove I'd take Hurley, more cos he is a good KPP for either end of the ground. Jordie is starting to remind me of a cross/boyd at the bullies, in and under, gets the job done and pretty much each week the media all go "Gee Jordie was fantastic" then they proceed to be astonished at his efforts the next week!
  11. High roller, got to give Jnr some slack. He has just come back from injury, takes a week or two to get back into it and in wet, humid conditions is not an ideal way to come back.
  12. Sylvia Saint, about 3 times in the last he did just blaze away, but most of the game his vison and use was pretty good.
  13. 6 - Colin Sylvia 5 - Jordie McKenzie 4 - Jack Watts 3 - Joel Macdonald 2 - Tom Scully 1 - Nathan Jones Sorry to Jamar, Frawley, Bartram
  14. Watts 27 possessions, will be interesting to see what Leigh Mathews says about that
  15. Thank god for rcokliff and bigger retard than our players trying to play dry weather football in the rain.
  16. [censored] retards playing stupid football and trying to chip the stupid thing aroyund and allowing lions to flood back, we deserve to lose this for stupidty!
  17. Arsiest gaol ever by PJ. Getting the absolute rub of the green our way off the umps, more for what they are not paying for them than what we are getting. Sylvia, Dunn, Bartram playing very well. Dunn's pressure has been awesome. Watts moving well and really controlling the ball.
  18. Great article, I was going to post something up myself about this. Especially the last bit which is not part of my signature.
  19. Exactly. I'd rather develop those we already have who show as much promise as Wells does now. the upside is they have either played a few games (Gys, Strauss) or not at all blease, on top of Scully, Trengove, McKenzie
  20. Judds ability to win the contested ball seems better, but I believe that more due to he has too and ablett can let Bartel, Selwood etc do it. Ablett offers more. Hits targets more often (I think last year and a bit Judds kicking has been ordinary)\ Ablett also splits games open more at the moment.
  21. and then you add in if they had of kicked those goals instead of points we would be blah blah blah
  22. Agree Dappa, never worry about those two, nor Green or Jnr.
  23. Yep, deflecting nicely Voss, put all the pressure on us to perform etc etc etc
  24. Seriously, we could well put in a normal interstate performance against the lions and get flogged up there. When and if we get to the last round and we are a chance I might then entertain the idea of finals, But I am very very doubtful. I think we will drop at least 2 games out of the 5 and would not be surprised if the Hawks are not one of the ones we drop.
  25. Yeah he said the most pleasing was Bennells run at the very start of the game and continued until the last 4 seconds of the game.
