Hopefully we can get the Hawks 2nd round pick for Frost and pass that along. Pick 22 has a lot of value
-
We must get one of Elliott, Butler or Gray
-
Yes. Gray or Butler would definitely appeal
-
Good point. However there were much bigger question marks on Watts and Motlop than Tomlinson who has an excellent attitude and is durable, if a bit vanilla overall. Rockliff has been good for them when on the park - that would be the concern with Elliott.
-
As if he’s on $500k. Where did you pull that one from?
-
Some in the media have been giving him votes ahead of Haynes. Baffling
-
Played his role really well today. Outstanding workrate. Kicking was hit and miss. He'll be a good pickup, without being outstanding.
-
I know it has already been mentioned but spare a thought for $cully....sucka! I think Amon Buchanan's celebrations were directed right at him
-
Geelong’s kicking around the ground and ability to create a contest inside F50 has been the difference. Tigers tend to come home strongly though.

Higgins has been at north for 5 seasons already. Hardly recent. Pittard is a turnover merchant, would have us all pulling our hair out. He’s barely afl standard. Polec is a good player. That’s it.

Small forwards - what are our trading and draft options?

Kicked 4 goals today in the VFL including 3 in a huge last quarter. We should go hard after him. Their salary cap is very tight and we wouldn’t have to offer a lot to easily exceed what Richmond could offer (plus that he would be almost guaranteed best 22 for us). -
Lol. No.

Butler has speed, that’s why -
His kicking is reliable, just not Young level elite. His speed is a weapon.
-
Narkle please
-
Anderson (class, goal kicking mid), Ash (speed) and Young (elite kick) all fit our needs.
-
Big NO. He is a turnover merchant, faux tough guy. Anyone who is saying yes needs to actually watch him play, not some highlights package.

2019 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch

I’m a big fan of Lachie Ash. It’s not the end of the world if we miss out on Anderson. Young also looks good but Ash suits us better IMO -
And the pushes to Ben “flopper” Brown. When are the umps going to figure out he is soft as?!
-
Looks like Adelaide get pick 3 (?4) and Carlton get 8 (?9). Not such a bad deal in the end, if you rate Stocker which Carlton seem too (I don’t)

I've been watching some of the highlights of Rowell, Ash and Anderson on the NAB league app. Anderson really stands out, absolute class. Not that impressed with Rowell - Oliver 2.0 but without the tricks. Good burst but kicking and decision-making not the best. Ash's most recent game playing midfield was very impressive and addressed some of the question marks around him - lots of clearances and contested possessions (in addition to good overhead marking, trademark speed). I'd be taking him before Rowell without a second thought.

I agree that Richmond didn’t look like they got out of second gear, but the wet suited them massively. We are the worst team in the comp in the wet, they are the best. Could have been much closer if it stayed dry. Not that it really matters. They would have beaten us either way.

He was in the top 40 All Australian squad in 2017. He has already shown he is capable of far more than solid.

Essendon are missing only 4-5 of their best 22. Their injury woes this year have been exaggerated by the media. Collingwood is another story. Good depth.

Umps dragged Essendon over the line
