  1. Great to have him back. As midfield coach I'm not so sure. The last first year midfield coach I can remember succeeding was Brett Ratten with us 20 years ago.
  2. Gary falls on his sword. I thank him for his time and efforts through the last 6 or so years at MFC and helping us break that 57 year year drought. Hopefully this is the best decision for everyone and the football club going forward.
  3. The final punch in the gut.

Gee wiz. Always an interesting time to sack a manager.

Yeah very rarely is anything called at the end of the game. As for hail mary plays I'm going to make up a theory that it's because the endzone is usually a different colour to the regular grass thus making it harder for refs to see holds and [censored] because it blends in.

The dropped catch scenario in NFL is a great metaphor for life and how you can't get anywhere in it by yourself. "Sometimes you'll throw the perfect pass and then out of your control, the receiver drops it. That's life. "

A fair few botch ups in tipping what was supposed to be an easy week!
  8. Surprise surprise, players hate the sub vest.
  9. Has definitely caught my attention of late. Decision making is fair but I think he makes the quick decision quite well. I don't know what to make of his size though, would he sort of be like a new Hibberd? He competes damn hard though and I actually reckon his 1 on 1 defending is his main strength. Then there's the dash and rebound, I can definitely see him going top 10.
  10. I will not be disappointed at all with Langford as our first pick. Think there is more than enough upside and point of difference there to become at least a very good mid in the competition and strengthen our midfield unit. Which is what it's about, not finding the next Brownlow fancy.
  11. Definitely. Can play half-back, wing and also has an inside game. Not going to say no to more of these types on the list.
  12. Where's Pamala Paulshock with the big surprise?
  13. Wasn't he drafted in 2018 Tarax?

Oh yeah you'll still have a few suitors to fight off.

    Probably rules out Kupp
  17. Is the period to pickup delisted free agents still open or do you need to use draft picks at this point?
  18. More importantly what do we do with ourselves for 4 rounds until our next pick? Might be worth doing an all nighter the night before Day 1 and then just sleeping until the night of day 2..
  19. Someone will slide to this pick. We should do a sweep with everyone here.
  20. I'm seeing Harry Armstrong is more the Naughton/Caddy type who can move around. I don't see the similarity with Jeremy Cameron at all apart from the fact they are left footers. I'd be pretty miffed if we took him at pick 5 or 9 to be honest.
  21. Gee I reckon that horse has well and truly bolted if they do 🙃
  22. The Phoenix rose from the ashes in 2024. Long may it continue..
  23. Decent cover for the moment. The list isn't what it was.
  24. I agree and the other traits certainly matter up to a point. However is it fair to say it's a pretty reliable formula to use across the board on balance Pennant? There's also the things they don't test for, I don't recall ever seeing an 'ability to win the ball' test for instance.
  25. Langford's rise after his 2km time trial result doesn't surprise me. Was listening to Paul Roos he reckons the time trial and character are the only traits you need to look at.
