  1. Farewell Dean. You came to the club at a dark time and while I would have loved you to be part of this it doesnโ€™t always work out. Hopefully you can get into tip top condition and give it a real go with the Saints.
  2. Ouch, ouch, ouch. Better be some good packaging going on otherwise I expect the Hogan deal to fizzle.
  3. Zigmund, look at the sky. The planet is on fire!
  4. Maybe we should start a Lachie Neale to Brisbane thread so we can endlessly hypothesize and anticipate that and then come back to this when the trade is done? But then again I'm sure some people would rather cut their toe nails with a machete than lose the rapid pace that this thread is going at..
  5. That's a good question. It would be easy to say it wouldn't and that all recruiting managers would prepare for any scenario by studying the whole talent pool but that's probably a bit simplistic. There's only so much time and so much traveling you can do. Then again maybe he did, but it still changes the psychology a bit.
  6. Yeah that's it. I mean that's without knowing too much about next year's draft class of course but it seems the sensible option. Would much rather a very good talent that fits what we need than the absolute best talent on the board.
  7. Real tough one. Would go pick 6 in a superdraft but only just and only because you get it right now.
  8. People are using our culture as a good reason to get him in. I would use it as a good reason to keep him out.
  9. No chance this gets to 400. There would have to be someone posting every few minutes :p
  10. NFL

Really struggled to watch many games at all this week it's been a rough week due to some other circumstances. Watched the highlights of Eagles @ Rams. Interesting game. Still hard to get a read on the Vikings though their offense can go through sluggish phases but it was still a great win. As for the Niners it's fairly simple, playing hard and with heart but missing key personnel, the line is weak and we turn the ball over at crucial times. Beathard has already had two fumbles from his throwing motion. At least the Cowboys lost!
  11. Absolutely wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.
  12. Nope, go home. Seriously, what name is going to to appear next on the cheese board?
  13. I think the exact same thing but so many players do it for some reason.
  14. My money would be on this scenario.
  15. A lot of people are using proposed rule changes as the basis of their arguments on here. Just keep in mind these are still proposed at this stage.
  16. Well I hardly think heโ€™s going to make his big decision in Bali. Quick tour of Freoโ€™s facilities before flying out, with a nice last minute phone call to his manager telling him to do what it takes as heโ€™s walking to the terminal.
  17. I missed the 200, how dare you.
  18. I weep for the future.
  19. How often does a big deal get done on day 1? Honest question.
  20. Rules out the deadline theory..
  21. The use of the word hypothetical is interesting.
  22. That relief when you come back here after an hour and find out you haven't missed anything. It's golden.
  23. Its possible. Would put some pressure on us to get the deal done if he did make an announcement I guess and then in the event that it doesn't get done we get a nice media circus.
  24. No decision or announcement by now is pretty nerving. We will need every bit of time to get a decent deal done.
  25. Sounds like smoke screen stuff to me.
