Although some would say Fritsch is. I didn’t really think this through ?

For anyone who has seen The Replacements, Joel Smith is the Shane Falco of this week.
  3. Yeah but you choose some interesting words to get a point across sometimes..
  4. Need directions back to the main road?
  5. How good was it! They could have Allen on the show every week for mine. Glen was great too!
  6. Simon Godfrey was a crap kick. I think Scully is above average but that’s just me. Don’t want him though so it doesn’t matter.
  7. As a whole I couldn’t be more proud. What a magnificent season. A sparky playing for Casey 12 months ago is now a fully fledged AFL player. This setback will be the making of him again.
  8. Really good point. They’ve never been afraid of a tough decision and usually make the right one. In some ways Goodwin is a parent to us fans. Not here to be our friend but here to tell us what is good for us ?
  9. We go with what’s worked pretty well for the last 4 weeks against some quality key forwards. Moot point now though. Have to back in the FD on this, there is upside to having Smith in. I am starting to see it.
  10. I don’t think it’s rubbish but I agree to take the emotional side out of it. Falling in love with the story is not going to do any favours in selection. I would have thought Oscar for Darling but Smith makes a bit of sense, good to have the option at least. I hope he goes well too, I think he has the potential to. But the decision would be rightly questioned if he has a mare. It’s not a scrutiny free job making these calls. That’s life.
  11. All things aside the potential Smith inclusion is risky from a fitness perspective alone I would have thought. How many games has he been back for?
  12. That was the circuit breaker I needed! We're in a prelim, that's what matters.
  13. I'd hardly call him a 'bit-part player'. It can definitely be lost at selection if Smith stinks.
  14. On my short walk around the block just then I couldn't stop thinking about this. It doesn't gel with me at all. It would be devastating to lose this at the selection table. I think Smith could be good in time but he's a liability for this game with 3 dangerous small forwards. Fritsch has not been great the last two games I admit that. He offers something that few others in the team have though, hard to describe it but it's the ability to use it consistently. If Smith has to come in as an extra tall then it has to be Tyson out for me. He looks back to his old 'lost on the outside mid' self. Fritsch back to the wing and Smith back.
  15. Ready to spew. If Smith comes in it should be for Tyson, if at all.
  16. Hope it's all on the up now for you Wise. Look forward to hearing from you this Sat!
  17. After the siren it was Optus Stadium. Up until about 10 minutes ago it was Fed Square. Mate who I go to nearly all games with can't go now. Currently in tale spin.
  18. No, not really. Not at all actually...
  19. It’s just annoying how the have to completely change aesthetics of the game for one tactic, the long kick in. Would change the game for about 16 seconds. At very least some more trialing would be good.
