  1. This is my first Narrm game
  2. Well a lot of it is by the look of it
  3. I'm sorry but I hate this darn ground, just bought myself a gen admin ticket and get inside ready to bolt up to level 3 and I get pulled up and told I need to go to Aisle 19 or some crap. You stink Marvel. If anyone can tell me what area on Level 1 isn't some pooncey reserved thing let us know!
  4. Hopefully just risk management
  5. Yeah that was pretty awful I must say.
  6. Yeah that's right, twist the knife some more with Geelong at GMHBA on Thurs night. Ya mad?
  7. I agree this was more about the Swans and also think the umps helped them a lot. When they needed a holding the ball, they got it. This result sucks, I tipped Sydney and I'm really wanting a Carlton loss soon. I need it.
  8. Brilliant really, pump up the possibility of changing the time before announcing no change and making it seem like they listened to the fans. Never change AFL..
  9. What will be will be I guess. As Bob Dylan once said: "Johnny's in the basement mixing up the medicine" "The times they are a changin"
  10. Yeah I'm quite surprised to be honest, thought Bedford was the lock or even Dunstan. Melksham although was wasn't bad against the Hawks is a baffler of a selection. Will back him in though, hopefully he cuts them to ribbons.

How do you expect the public to respect umpires when the AFL have shown a blatant lack of respect themselves? This is pathetic.
  12. Awful news. One of the true excitement machines of the AFL when he's up and running, wish him all the best.

My gut feel is that too, they've had their blip against you guys now watch for the backlash. 5-0 Would be my prediction. Stevie needs to kit up 😜 But yeah you never know, a Villa strike early or an off day in front of goal for City, anything can happen. Well done to the Toffees this morning, the great escape is on! Feels weird applauding them but you have to after that.

If there's ever a chance for Steven Gerrard to get redemption for that slip in 2014, this is it!

The main thing is it’s going to the last day of the season. Gives everyone something to watch! Thought the Hammers were exceptional in that first half with those movements forward. Very glad they hung on for a point, seems like the Spurs draw from last week is gonna get us in the end but obviously it’s a tonne of moments like this that makes up a season. Commiserations to Rangers this morning in Europa, had two decent chances to take it out in extra time but lost to the dreaded penalty shootout!
  16. Quite like these gameday scribbles. Good to see someone's views as the game is actually happening but with slightly more though put in than a lot of us in the gameday thread 😜
  17. 100% He was the master of situational coaching. They'd rehearse different scenarios over and over.
  18. There were some good aspects about the McIntyre system but probably a few more negative ones in my opinion. I did like how the top 4 teams got a home final and the ranking system would at least give teams around that 3rd to 6th mark a chance but when the flaws were exposed they were badly exposed. Beating the reigning premiers in 98 and then having to rely on two road wins by St Kilda and West Coast didn't seem right. it leaves too many things up to the gods. On the flip side the next year seeing Carlton get completely bathed by Brisbane in a 3rd vs 6th in the qualifying final which sent Bris to a semi against the Dogs and Carlton to a semi against West Coast at the MCG after West Coast WON from 5th against the Dogs the week before on that very ground! We all know what happened next. This system isn't perfect but it's streets ahead of that one in my view. I know you're not saying to go back to it but that's my take :)
  19. Well deserved reward for one of the hardest workers. The guys said it on the pod, when he get's the ball you know he'd going to use it!
  20. I just don't know what you're meant to do anymore. We want our players to tackle but if someone gets concussed well hey "It's in the rules". Why the hell would anyone want to lay a great tackle now if they are going to get rubbed out? I want the MRO to outline clearly what players must do, what is the correct way to tackle from behind, step by step in a way that if that player performs this tackle 20 times, none of them will be deemed suspension worthy.
  21. Gave him 6 votes this week. The endeavour and work rate has always been there but there's something different about the man these last couple of years. He's sort of got the Clarry knack of knowing how long to hold it and exactly when to release it to our advantage these days. But another thing I'd like to point out with Jack is his kicking for goal. He's kicked 5 this year and his set shooting routine is immaculate. In the Port game they showed a slow mo replay and he had a beautiful fluid run up, watched the ball onto his foot and even kept looking down after he kicked it. If you can pull up this footage I strongly recommend it, I don't think I've seen anyone keep the head down so long in a set shot routine!
