  1. It's such a flawed situation. I wonder if the AFL will have the Kangas under a microscope on the lookout for any action not within the spirit of the game? Maybe Ben Mackay's forward move recently should have been scrutinised more! Will let it slide until Davies Uniacke lines up at Full forward and Goldstein goes to Full back but at that point I expect an investigation! Real talk though I'd go with the confidence and belief route. It's underrated.
  2. Agree, at some point and especially this late in the season all those 'penalty shootout' wins catch up with you. Just hope they are nice and wrecked for our game.
  3. You're a legend Demon Dynasty, cheers!
  4. The key thing I take from your post Jaded is that whatever you do, be decisive. Eg, I'm going to mark this, I'm going to kick this and not have one bit of indecisiveness about it. If it doesn't work then fine but it's easier to fix the slight selfish issues than a confidence issue. So I do give credit for this. I don't have an issue with Fritsch going for goal if he believes it's gettable, there's been plenty of times where he has dobbed the goal and I've turned around to whoever and said "He had to kick that because player X was open" but this isn't a bad thing because it shows a guy who isn't afraid to take it on himself. It's a better problem to have than a Joe Daniher looking to give off a handball when he was brought in to kick goals. The issue has also been massively amplified because all of these instances come when goals seem to be at a real premium for the team and we badly need one. We're having enough trouble scoring right now as it is and yes Bailey probably cops it a little harshly as a result because yes, he is our leading goal kicker and at some moments he seems like our only avenue to goal. All I want is if a teammate is in a much better position for him to see that. The Spargo one was this in a nutshell for me.
  5. It does kind of bother me that we were smashed on clearance again. -13. Clarry makes a big difference to that but that needs to be much closer to level.
  6. Sorry but I'm not buying this 'being caught in two minds' crap. A good forward always has the ability to see a wide open man ahead of him in a better position. Yes you need a little greed as a forward but some of these burns are really really bad and have a worse effect than people think. I will admit the media scrutiny has been over the top and that this happens everywhere but I don't care about everywhere I care about here.
  7. Yep, these are the changes for me. Loved Adam's game but he has to make way.
  8. He does play a bit taller, like Toby Greene.
  9. Really? This exact one? Phwoarrr.
  10. If they were running a conventional shortlisting process you'd bank him in for the last 3 suitors no doubt. It would be ideal to get Adem for at least one more year but it seems inevitable that he will be a senior coach at some stage. Would hate to lose Yze and Chocco in the same year though..
  11. There seems to be a lot of new accounts around potting our players and telling us how our coaches can't coach their way out of a paper bag.
  12. Cheers mate, thank goodness you're here.
  13. All roads lead to the Freo game in Rd 20. Take that scalp and then the power to shape the top 4 is firmly in our hands.
  14. Hibberd has been magnificent of late. If there was a B & F for our backline for the last month it would be him.
  15. Except that Luke's middle name isn't Stephen. Nah sorry I got nothing at all to back that up!
  16. If Collingwood are to keep winning I hope it's from these penalty shootout games. Eventually they will die.
  17. Way too good for Demonland.
  18. Thank you, thank you 😁
  19. Absolutely magnificent.
  20. While we're at it and on that slipping over, can we review New Balance as a boot sponsor? They really are a run of the mill footy boot and I reckon we should consider something like Nike, Puma or Reebok from now on. You know, something with credibility? I know we won a flag doing this but still it's time to complain.
  21. The performance was average, but the win was brilliant! We go up to this beautiful ground without our best player. our extractor, our fire starter, they may as well have been playing with a handycap against us Port. Disagree? Let's take Wines or Boak out and see how that goes for ya? I'm not going to bullfart around, we were not good and we have some issues but a win like this gives us a fighting chance to get it right the next week, or the the week after, or the week after. As long as we are banking the wins I couldn't give a rat's toss. These guys are dealing with all sorts of spanners and wrenches being thrown at them right now and let's not forget that only two years ago this team would have folded in a game like this. It is time to stand up, say you're not happy with the performance, but be happy with the result, we have given ourselves a great fighting chance to go up against the dudes from Grand Final week last year and that is all that one can ask for. Kozzie Pickett played a game for the ages. I think it's fair to say we don't win without his efforts today. We made our own luck at times and these are the moments that separate the best from the rest. I think had we played Port in the Grand Final last year we would have pulverized them into oblivion like Jens Pulver. There is absolutely no question in the world about it and if you want to take me on about it I'll see you in the car park. Anyway back to the game, Petracca was good, Viney was encouraging even without getting as much hard ball, I also think that Jack is moving as well as he ever has. Positive Lingers gave us the usual width, thought Spargo kept going and going, Sparrow did his bit. I think their were a lot of below par performance, I thought there were a lot of poor skill errors. Who cares. Melksham made an excellent chase late in the game, he did play a role. I would love to get a little bit more out of him possession wise just because he's so good with it! We'll see what happens at selection. We seriously need Clarry back, I hope he never misses a game ever again and I hope Jack Crisp gets a corky next week. Counting down the days till loading ends, I'd like each and everyone of you to think about what flavour potato chips and chocolates you'll be brining along. In the meantime there's gonna be a few 'grinders' to come and that's what this team can do better than most in my view. We'd like to hear your views, answers in a postcard!
  22. Bounce just baked Fritta. Mooney even called him a selfish pr***. Joking of course but still.
  23. Yep that's it, anyone know the name of our bootstudder because I swear he's in the gun this week..
  24. A lot of sad sacks around
  25. Good on you mate, that's what this game is all about!
