PODCAST: Rd 01 vs Western Bulldogs
The guys mentioned the criteria for pressure acts, these are the official definitions from Champion Data for anyone interested: Pressure Act (Corralling): The lowest form of pressure a player can apply, where they are simply occupying space in front of the ball carrier to prevent them moving forward, or have a run at them, but not quickly enough to record โclosingโ pressure. Pressure Act (Chasing): Where a player applies pressure from behind an opponent by chasing. They must be gaining ground or applying pressure significant enough to hurry the ball carrier to dispose of the ball. If the chasing player is on the verge of making physical contact from behind, then closing pressure will be imminent. Pressure Act (Closing): A higher degree of pressure than corralling, where the pressure player is on the verge of making contact with the ball carrier (either from in front or the side) as he disposals of the ball. The key point of difference between this and corralling is that there will be imminent contact and the pressure player is forcing the ball carrier to dispose of it immediately. Pressure Act (Physical): Applying direct physical contact to a player in the act of disposing of the ball or effecting a tackle that prevents an effective disposal from the ball carrier. Point structure for weighted pressure ratings: Corralling - 1.2 points Chasing - 1.5 points Closing - 2.25 points Physical - 3.75 points

Cry me a river hawks supporters!!!
Fair play I guess, I'd like to see someone do a vox pop at the next Hawthorn game asking all the under 10 y.o's how it feels to have never seen the Hawks win a flag.

What they are saying in Springfield!
And his speed too! Incredibly one paced in the middle right now.

Kysaiah Pickett on report
Yeah I'm thinking that too. Franklin's had the most potential for serious damage.

PODCAST: Rd 01 vs Western Bulldogs
Half way through the ep. Reading from the same hymn book as Binman when it comes to set shots. I don't hate Chandler's technique but I knew during that run up at 3 qtr time that he was going to spray it as he never looked confident. Couldn't agree more with Max's kicking as well. Boy did he flush that one from the pocket, ball drop was good too!

T-mac is a good forward and I think we'd be better off concentrating on how to keep him on the field as long as possible this year. His game on Sat night has been extremely exaggerated, it's like he left the Royal Family or something.

Can we relax yet? A whole season of midweek stress isn't going to do wonders for halting the aging process.

PREGAME: Rd 02 vs Brisbane
If the club deems him ready to go then my word he's ready to go. From what was reported last week about it being slightly more than mild calf tightness, the restricted movement in the training reports last week and the 6 day factor it wouldn't be unreasonable to think another week off would be the sensible approach. It is an armchair view but not too wide of the mark, its a long season.

Which midfield combination do you prefer?
'Often' would be an understatement...

I know teams really want to back their system and not sacrifice but these numbers are super damaging. I look to the two games that Sydney paid close attention to Daicos last year it paid off big. Even in the practice game against Hawthorn it was used to good effect. I'll have to have a look at that Sunday Footy Show stuff, didn't catch it this week.
