I don't trust Carlton but wouldn't be surprised with an upset for reasons I can't explain.

PODCAST: Judd McVee Interview
It's really good to know a bit more about all this and the distinction between types of interviews, cheers. Also didn't know that the club sets the platform for an interview but it makes perfect sense. It also makes sense to have guests do their part of the interview over the phone as it's simple and setting up podcast equipment (even just a mic) can be time consuming. Sure you'll get some background noise but it's serviceable and I doubt people really pay much attention to things like that if the content is good, I would actually prefer the guest do their part over the phone rather than a laptop mic, they are usually not great. I think you guys do a sensational job and still manage to sound engaging with the guest albeit the short amount of time allowed to do your thing.

TRAINING: Friday 21st April 2023
Mr Zeph! Is this your first full training report? You might have done another but the memory is hazy. Does it look like Dunstan could be spending some decent time in the middle?

May not be the only haircut he'll need if he's going to stay 😉 *Rimshot*

Bombers would be a decent fit I reckon, adds something else to that midfield.

PODCAST: Judd McVee Interview
Just for the record I was agreeing with you. My second paragraph was about you guys in particular and being impressed with how you control the interview style shows. You guys also have the ability to make an interview entertaining 🙂 My point was about just that, structure and working to time constraints.

PODCAST: Judd McVee Interview
I think I understand a little bit where you're coming from, you don't want a robotic 'ask question, get answer, ask next question' flow to the show. In my experience though you need to have at least a rough structure to go by and you go from there. I'm not sure exactly how Andy does it but he'd possibly be sending his guests a brief rundown sheet with the important points to be covered. These guys are also really good at taking our questions and making it into a conversational back and forth chat with guests. I'm actually really impressed with the way they're able to do this while keeping control of the show and staying within time restraints. If you go into something like this with no structure or format and just plan on having an open ended convo it could go anywhere, the guest could be shy and give one word answers making for a tooth-pulling experience to the ears or they could be great talkers and the interview ends up going for 3 hours. Some sort of structure just allows you to control the controllables a bit more.

THE SKY IS FALLING
Just as an aside, the Star Trek episode with Kirk vs Gorn is the best of that show.

Few probably want him to go. He just may become a necessary cap casualty.
