It's a shame, I was really starting to use it.

Devastating. Don't know what is worse, struggling to have kids or losing one.

Today isn't for dancing on graves and popping champagne corks, not for me anyway. I think the right decision has been made by all involved and it's now time to look to the future.

My theory is that you can only be madly into 2 sports at the same time. By that I mean 2 sports where you watch every game, you check the net or socials for news or you frequent a fine establishment like Demonland. My 3 favs AFL, NFL and Soccer (the latter which a long time ago I seemed to comfortably fit in EPL, Spanish League, Italian league and some A-league is almost exclusively EPL now) for most of the year there is 2 of these on at the same time which helps. I love the sport of Basketball and I'd even go as far as saying I love to watch the NBA but my interest in it is completely different to NFL. I mostly follow players and 'good games', I have a team I don't care about them like I care about the Niners. I do like basketball though and talking about it right now makes me want to go outside and shoot some hoops. The UFC I go through fluctuating periods of either being obsessed or completely out of it. Yeah that's my ted talk.

All they need is NASCAR on that day and then it's every corner of the country on easy street!

Nathan Jones joins MFC as an Assistant Coach
layzie replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
Great to have him back. As midfield coach I'm not so sure. The last first year midfield coach I can remember succeeding was Brett Ratten with us 20 years ago. -
Gary falls on his sword. I thank him for his time and efforts through the last 6 or so years at MFC and helping us break that 57 year year drought. Hopefully this is the best decision for everyone and the football club going forward.

The final punch in the gut.

Gee wiz. Always an interesting time to sack a manager.

Yeah very rarely is anything called at the end of the game. As for hail mary plays I'm going to make up a theory that it's because the endzone is usually a different colour to the regular grass thus making it harder for refs to see holds and [censored] because it blends in.

The dropped catch scenario in NFL is a great metaphor for life and how you can't get anywhere in it by yourself. "Sometimes you'll throw the perfect pass and then out of your control, the receiver drops it. That's life. "

A fair few botch ups in tipping what was supposed to be an easy week!

Surprise surprise, players hate the sub vest.

Has definitely caught my attention of late. Decision making is fair but I think he makes the quick decision quite well. I don't know what to make of his size though, would he sort of be like a new Hibberd? He competes damn hard though and I actually reckon his 1 on 1 defending is his main strength. Then there's the dash and rebound, I can definitely see him going top 10.

I will not be disappointed at all with Langford as our first pick. Think there is more than enough upside and point of difference there to become at least a very good mid in the competition and strengthen our midfield unit. Which is what it's about, not finding the next Brownlow fancy.

Welcome to Demonland: Xavier Lindsay
layzie replied to adonski's topic in Trade, Draft & Free Agency
Definitely. Can play half-back, wing and also has an inside game. Not going to say no to more of these types on the list. -
Where's Pamala Paulshock with the big surprise?
-
-
Oh yeah you'll still have a few suitors to fight off.
-
Is the period to pickup delisted free agents still open or do you need to use draft picks at this point?
-
More importantly what do we do with ourselves for 4 rounds until our next pick? Might be worth doing an all nighter the night before Day 1 and then just sleeping until the night of day 2..
-
Someone will slide to this pick. We should do a sweep with everyone here.
