  1. Nice one HB cheers. Looking forward to reading it.
  2. Yeah I think this is happening. And I think it's for the best.

Ripped a hammy off the bone, shame because he was looking bloody good before that. Purdy is going to have to earn those bucks.

Huge win. Take 1-0 over 0-1 any day. Just like us, gutsy win but not pretty viewing. Moody's two botched FG attempts have cost him his job so we're in the market for a kicker. Seeing Kupp in Seahawks colours was just weird.
  5. I loved that massive tackle he laid minutes into his debut.
  6. Probably trying to drive down external contract offers?
  7. Spot on. Len Smith was possibly the sharpest mind in the game at the time and forward thinking in this area. Norm and Len would always talk tactics and there's no doubt having Len as a brother helped Norm tremendously in becoming the coach he was. If there is one footy biography people who consider themselves purists should read it's the Red Fox.
  8. Another layer to add to the ever growing rules lexicon. But could this one actually help? Would be nice to get rid of some insufficient intent guesswork.
  9. I don't know if what Edmunds says is true but it wouldn't be the biggest shock. Sometimes at this point it is as much about an experienced coach interviewing the club as it is the other way round. There is probably a better time to pull out of the race though and this wouldn't be the best time.
  10. Very encouraging Mr Leg, very encouraging.
  11. Didn't watch last night live but just caught the mini. What a bang up game and what an effort by the Gold Coast Suns! Snatching victory from the jaws of defeat like champions. For Freo it seems a lesson has been learned. You can't act like winners if you havent been there before.
  12. Look to be fair, for whatever reason they were probably thinking that Longmire and Simpson were pushing each other over to get through the door.
  13. This game reminded me of our QF against Sydney in 2022. Granted our bombing was mostly by design that night but the result was largely the same: In the game up until half time and then woosh. The Crows looked spooked, no-one apart from Neal-Bullen wanted to hang on to the ball for longer than a second and they resorted to the hack kicking nearly every time they got it. The game was tailor made for someone like Darcy Moore to clean up down back. They just couldn't deal with the ongoing defensive pressure from the Pies and Nicks really didn't have answers for it. Most of Adelaide's goals in the second half came from the odd bomb that worked out or a fortuitous bounce etc. Adelaide got a football lesson. Outplayed, outcoached, outrisked, outcomposed. For a team that lost 4 of their last 6 the Pies sure turned it on when it counted across the board.
  14. Hard to remember many moments when the Crows didn't hack and hope kick into 50. The only time I can remember was when Nibbler was on the wing and speared a nice one in to Thilthorpe or Pedlar? Nibbler may not be the best kick in general but I always thought he was a decent kick into 50 player. He'd look for leads and hit them often with low trajectory 20-30m kicks.

What is your apparatus out of curiosity? The picture in my head is one Excel file with a sheet tab for every year and the tabs are starting to go off the screen 🙂
  18. I didn't say it was better than ours!
  19. I wouldn't be surprised if they were told not to acknowledge it.
  20. And Pies fans generally travel very well. Granted a large number of them don't have to work today so that helps bump the numbers up but a great travelling army nonetheless.
  21. I'm never happy when Collingwood win..
  22. I think you're a great contributor on here but this is a wild response to a 'don't get triggered by the media' comment. There's nothing directly relevant to our club when it comes to media commentary on our coaching situation. They have no say in who our board selects and they have no say in how the candidate will make their decision. What they do have is a forum to flaunt their takes to get clicks and reactions like this and have hit the nail right on the head when it comes to their desired outcome. This has happened in the media forever and a day. Media figures were telling the likes of Sheedy and Clarko to ignore us for a future opportunity. How many times have we been just flat out labeled a basket case in the media? I know there are some numpties in the media but they aren't total block heads that implicate themselves at every opportunity. The conflict of interest part is possibly a relevant point of conversation but what are we saying here exactly? That someone who has had no working relationship with Gale at Richmond is in cahoots to get Buckley to Tassie? Does this mean that if Garry Lyon endorses Buckley for the Melbourne job over Tassie that this is a conflict of interest because he still has relationships with several figures at our club? Media will have opinions, people like us will lap it up and occasionally get our noses out of joint over it but why stress out so much about it? That's all I was trying to say.
  23. Don't suppose you've had any dealings with him Adam or different campus?
  24. OMG apples and bloody oranges. I had no idea what people here were insinuating until I read more. I hate Collingwood as much as the next person but there is NOTHING in common with this and our booing of Maynard or really any other situation where a player has been booed. You can't force fans to act or not act a certain way but I don't think it was necessary.
  25. To hell with that. Eddie McGuire and Collingwood fans couldn't shut up when they fixed us up in 2017. We had a chance to put this mob out of business and didn't do our job in the last quarter, now we must endure this two-bit town painted black and white for weeks. I'd be just as annoyed at any other team who blew it in Rd 23 for this reason, it just so happened that it was us.
