You're right, we don't want to destroy a kid's confidence by getting pantsed by good key forwards but on the flip side aren't these sometimes the greatest learning lessons of all? The JVR comparison isn't bad but he was in his first season on the list. Jeffo and Adams are both in their third with a few pre seasons under their belt. Luker I can understand more to a certain extent. I don't believe either way the right one necessarily. Depending on where the list is development wise, the leaders we have and also the individual, there might be one situation where blooding them early helps them. There also will be times where developing and priming at Casey could serve them better. Winning and building a winning culture is important, I agree 100% there. However I believe getting as much as you can out of games is important too. There really wasn't much apart from pride to play for in these last few games and as a member I'm not sure if I'm optimistic about what is coming through if they aren't trusted yet. I hope what we did is the right choice and the games that we did give those guys hold them in good stead.

I didn't know that Adams had been average most of the year at Casey Binman, that's fair enough. However with a lot of dead rubber games to finish the year it just seemed like it could have been good to get some games into him. He may have only got his chance because May was out but at what point do we see what we've got in a guy? I want to ask you this respectfully, why would we prioritise Casey playing finals over getting senior game time into these talls, some who have been on the list 3 seasons now? There really was nothing to play for in the second half of the season but it could have been something to hang the hat on if we at least saw them in action more? If the consensus is that Adams wasn't good enough to come in then there are more concerns about our list and defender talent stocks than I thought..

Adam I can't get my head around why it took us till Rd 22 to get Adams in. With the number of injuries and the season effectively done at mid-year, I would have loved to get a decent block of at least 6 or 7 games into him. Would there be a valid reason why we didn't? Just seems like we missed a trick there.

Just a shame Doggies fans had to trust Essendon. I know they've had injuries galore but they've been getting way too much of a pass for mine.
