Well done to Dan Campbell, Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions on snapping and Essendon like drought of winning in the playoffs since 1991. Like the Dees in 2018 sometimes you have to get over these humps first before going forward and they can now build to the future starting next week. Bad luck Gorg. Likely the better team on the night but couldn't take those chances. A few extra pieces and they are going to be right back challenging for the NFC West and beyond.

Everyone gets a glass of the onion. Or something like that..

3 and out. What can the Rams dial up with 7 odd minutes left?
-
Bigtime stop for the Lions with good man coverage on Kupp in the endzone. Been an issue all night

124 yards and a TD for Nacua so far. Who says you need experience in playoff games!
-
Big hit on Stafford there and his head hit the deck hard. Hopefully ok
-
And for the umpteenth time the Rams find themselves in a 3rd and long situation.
-
Very important drive here for the Rams

Really really intriguing game. Better not take the eyes off this one.

Stafford with a much needed clutch throw.

Ah yes Packers vs 49ers @Maccajust for something different! If Dallas and GB is the most played playoff game in history then this one surely isn't far behind, in the last 30 years at least. I've been fairly confident going into the playoffs despite form but anytime I see the Packers as a playoff matchup I do take it seriously, moreso than if it were someone like the Vikings or Cardinals etc (Made sure not to choose anyone's team here) but I will say I'm a bit nervy now. This Packers side is in good form and just dismantled a team who was 8-0 at home this season. Jordon Love has been incredible with some of the throws he's made under pressure and he's impressed me as much if not more than Brock Purdy. They are also running the ball very well, we saw Aaron Jones run like there was another Optus outage and he had to hand deliver everyone's text messages. As you mentioned Purdy won't have thrown a football on 3 weeks but Deebo, CMC, Trent Williams and a few others are also in the same boat. We can only hope they will all be raring to go. Our defense is widely considered to be strong but teams have managed to move the ball on us with running at times. We will also be without DE rotation Clelin Ferrell who I find really good at setting the edge on defensive run plays. Its going to be a true NFL playoff game and the Pack are in with an outside shot. It's a free hit for them so they will give it everything. Importantly, we want this to be the Saturday (Sunday our time) game. Nothing would irritate me more than knowing I took today off when we had the bye and then missing it next Mon. May the best team win!

Yeah there's plenty of decent jobs available this year, Carolina or Washington could be tempting or maybe even Vegas to reunite with Jimmy G again? Fun to spitball. He's definitely going to want big control over a salary cap. I can't remember one big time contract given to a player in New England. Even Brady only ever took 'team friendly' contracts. Everything was done looking through the windshield. Bob Kraft is really a one of kind owner and its safe to say Bill isnt going to find that again.

Quite liked the 2nd goal, thought we worked it well to setup from the byline. Still gotta get the mox right but a win is a win.

Oh I think Bill can definitely offer more, just wondering if Dallas is the best fit. For Dallas it is exactly what they need, a big fish. Someone who everyone in that city can get behind and install belief in a vision. However Jerry and Steven would really have to let him do his thing. He can't be overruling on drafting decisions or saying he doesn't like a certain player because they aren't showtime enough or give ridiculous contracts to free agents because unlike others Bill just won't take any junk from him. Personally I wouldn't mind seeing Bill end up at the Chargers and seeing what he can do with Herbert. With so many jobs on offer I'm definitely expecting him in one of them.

I can't get my head around Dak and Lamb having that moment on the sideline about not being on the same page. All year the chemistry has been electric between those two, maybe the best QB-WR connection in the league? Yet all of a sudden they lose it in the most important game? Deeper questions need to be asked there and you have to start with the coach.
-
Belichick to Dallas? Possible or stupid? Personally I can't see Bill going anywhere where he can't be GM or at least have a big say in drafting. Jog on.

The Rams are one of the most dangerous wildcard teams on the NFC side for mine. Their form on the last 5 weeks is close to best in NFL. Really physical and if you just happen to catch them on a day when Stafford, Kupp, Nucua and Higbee look like they're playing flag football then good fricken luck!

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised nor would I defend him if it happened. 3 x 12 win seasons in a row and they have bottled it every time. I've never seen anything expansive or innovative about McCarthy's playbook and its my opinion that he succeeds when he has really strong coordinators. He's a facilitator coach and not a lot more. I wouldn't mind seeing Dan Quinn get another shot

My dad is renowned for seeing who 'the tipsters' in the newspaper have tipped as research when doing his weekly footy tips. I still don't know why.

At half time in that game I still thought thr Cats were a show. We missed some opportunities in the first half and went in 5 goals up. A quick goal to start the 2nd half and the Cats would have been within 4 and we'd have had a game. Fortunately we started the half with a Benny Brown dagger. The worst is when you get ribbed for these views by fellow laid back too cool for school MFC fans. "Relax bro we're 4 goals up" It's my belief that everyone has their own in-built understanding of when a game is over and everyone else is wrong.
-
After all that Dallas miss the extra point. Nothing going right
-
Aaron Jones has turned that slit into a gash.

I remember a Wildcard game in the 2002 season between the Niners and Giants at the old Candlestick. 14-38 down at half time and rallied back to win. Strange things can happen in playoffs, just sayin.

At this point right now no QB is playing better with what they have than Jordon Love
