  1. Getting tired of the subject of extra time being on the agenda purely because Collingwood have played in a few lately.
  2. He's a key player for them, and his skill would be extremely hard to replace. Depends how long term is long term but will be a big plus for them if true.
  3. I'm starting to think shows like that are written in advance in a content cultivation meeting. Some writers sit there in a room at the start of the year with pencils and say something like: "Hey this would be a good one for Kingy when the Dees have lost a few in a row, by then people will have forgotten about the Carlton final and everyone calling for them to change the game style!" "Love it knackers, rack that one. Next topic, can everyone come up with at least 3 'don't get beaten by what you know' scenarios before the end of the day?"
  4. Honestly, it was the name that popped into my head before reading.. ANB's disposal might have had some people in headbanging against the wall over the years, but the one thing he has always been quite good with is his kick into the 50. For whatever reason, he often seems to hitup a nice low and direct drop punt to only where his man can get it. Not quite on the Melksham level of delivery consistency wise but you will never see Nibbler 'up and under it' with space running towards 50.
  5. Love him already. My 3 word analysis.
  6. I'm just not anticipating as much from selection as usual. What can we really do? It won't have much bearing on the result this week, the effort on Sunday is more relevant to my interests.
  7. To be fair though this is exactly what Grundy is, a no.1 ruckman. Enjoying his footy again by the look of it. Good on him.
  8. I was thinking during the comeback how much I was enjoying this game until bang! It's like this big sign that comes up and says 'No you don't. Why would we want you to have a nice Thurs night watching footy?'
  9. Hey I'm all for a bargain, confessed Amazon nut. Don't always feel good about it though..
  10. Ahhh 50
  11. They're good if you like slavery.
  12. Warner can play a bit
  13. Not going to sound popular right now, but I think we need to stick with it. The previous method got us places yes, but to an extent has been worked out. We don't get anywhere close to the manic pressure of 2021 for it to work consistently. I don't believe you can put the toothpaste back in the tube here, we can retain elements but there is the FD clearly saw a need to bring a new look and this is how it is. Sustained games with Bowey and Salem in the will see some improvement. There's this case floating around that we don't have the personnel for this method, we'll the same argument can be made for the previous one in that we didn't have a key forward or two to mark and goal or at very least bring the ball down and help us lock it in regularly. We also lacked the opportunistic small forward who could craft out of no-where. These deficiencies are not equal but it is a decent counter argument. Stick with it for a bit longer.
  14. Hate it but it just might work.
  15. Petty to continue in the forward line. Expecting more of the same, will help to have JVR in though.
  16. I dunno, we've been bereft of options up forward numerous times and he doesn't come close to a look in. There has to be a reason.
  17. Give it a week or two. June is when we may as well not turn up because every loss has a perfectly valid explanation that everyone should understand. Leads to the ball, that's something. Needs a few games.
  18. 6 weeks to Smith. Parker could have busted his elbow on his face.
  19. He does it all. Inside and outside, physical, can kick a goal, 190cm +. I like the way he goes about it, ever since he came in really. I remember a game against us about 5 years ago where he had about 40 touches, racked up around 15 tackles and kicked a couple. I think the Dogs are still reeling from losing him in all honesty and have been band aiding the loss ever since. With the Dogs fresh off a grand final and the Lions trying to get there it did seem like the balance of power shifted when he was traded to the Lions. Big part of their GF run.
  20. Errol Gulden Josh Dunkley Gryan Miers Will Day
  21. Yes the more physical the better. We want more injuries
  22. Jefferson Ford maybe.
  23. What do you put this down to Binman? Not enough skill when we turn it over? Not generating enough turnovers in the first place or in areas where we want them? One thing I'm noticing at the moment is that that 'tackle breaking' midfielder is very much in vogue right now and if you've got a Harley Reid who is able to break away from the contest and retain the ball without turning it over you limit those turnover opportunities.
  24. Bang Bang Bang that's bang on.
