  1. Lachie Whitfield’s dangerous tackle will be looked at I reckon.
  2. I reckon you could say much the same about half the Carlton side at the moment.
  3. I’m going to watch the replay on Friday night in opposition to the Brisbane v Sydney game.
  4. I wonder how this year’s draft will evolve in view of the following anomalies - • Five of the top 20 prospects are tied to clubs – three GCS academy players plus two father/sons Jordan Croft (Western Bulldogs) and Will McCabe (Hawthorn). • Three players in the top 40 are Tasmanians and some recruiters might be reluctant to commit to them in light of the entry of the Tassie Devils in a few years’ time especially given that there are no rules about compensation (if any). Is this really such a good year for the Demons to hold what we think is a strong draft hand?
  5. The bye - isn’t this the best time to do some loading?
  6. Would not have happened if we were good boys and didn’t stir the pot over JVR.
  7. Straight swap for Darcy Parish.
  8. Is Joel Smith out there? Looking as though he might be needed.
  9. Another time we played the Hawks …
  10. How big was last night in breathing life back into the Freo death riding campaign?
  11. One other good thing is that the verdict allows us to play JvR and resist the temptation of playing TMac immediately after a return from injury.
  12. 6. Tracc 5. Chin 4. Clarrie 3. Grundy 2. Kozzie 1. Fritta
  13. Good luck to the kid today. It would be a nice touch if they gave him the number 48 to wear.
  14. JJ always plays a steady game. He’s quite and unassuming but does his job for the team.
  15. At the same age and playing against Geelong for the Australian Academy two years ago, Nick Daicos collected a team-high 26 touches as well as laying four tackles. That’s more than creditable.
  16. Swans in front. Won’t lose it from here.
  17. Dockers waving the white flag.
  18. Harley Reid finished with a creditable 13 possessions (10k, 3h) but not as much as expected from someone with his reputation from the Under 18s.
  19. 6. Oliver 5. Viney 4. Petracca 3. Grundy 2. Langdon 1. McVee
  20. The Suns are at their best on their own home turf and are pathetic when the opponent has home ground advantage. Neither applies next week when they play the Dockers at Norwood Oval where hopefully the red and blue army will be out in force supporting them and adding some more nails to the Freo coffin.
  21. Collingwood have sent out their sparky in search of the Gabba’s fuse box.
  22. The actual development of the racecourse has not, to my knowledge, started or received final approval from the authorities. There has been development of the area that was once open space and car parking between the racecourse and the railway line where some ugly high rise units have emerged out of the ground along with a shopping precinct based around a large Coles Supermarket. The development is still a watch this space for the future.
  23. Eagles injury list is an absolute train wreck - SJOG Health Care injury update: Round 4 Still, take them lightly at your own peril.
