  1. 11.24 is a concern in any game, so Chaplin and Choco have some serious work ahead of them in the next 2 weeks Otherwise it was ok, for a Praccy 1.9 at halftime is very concerning. Goodwin has to get the team firing earlier in games, otherwise we will get murdered…. Lots of serious Homework MFC
  2. Sure. It depends how serious the request is
  3. If this is serious it will happen, he’s a gun
  4. Still playing dull football
  5. Hahahaha!! Kid Frenzy Something similiar happened at School in 1978?? When The Big M milk first arrived, i am talking day 1-2 of the campaign. Every kid was buying them, i have not seen anything like it since So many cartons were bought that the Tuck shop area was bulging with Milk cartons And of course once one was thrown at pace, it was on!! The Tuck Shop ladies had to bunker down…
  6. I remember the odd food fight across South Road waiting for the school Buses to arrive!! 😁
  7. So was i… did 6 years at St Leonard’s 75-80. It was a wild place to walk into every morning
  8. At the other end of South Road was Hampton and Brighton Beach!! A totally different frontier, with just as much fun.
  9. No mate. The other end of South Road!!, although i was aware of The Tech Boyz reputation at certain Saturday night gatherings. Saw a few gigs at The South Side Six in the later 70’s, that was certainly an education
  10. Heartbreaker (Doo Doo Doo)
  11. Yes i think you are right Chook. There was a short period of time where Butters and Thomas were the innovators, but it all fell in a screaming heap. North were also very lucky in the 70’s when the 10 year rule came in. If they hadn’t had that opportunity I don’t think they would be here today
  12. Your right, it is truly amazing I listen to the latest St Kilda President and it’s just not going to happen, I grew up in St Kilda territory, Moorabbin could be a fearsome place at times, I would go there with school mates and wear a Saints scarf for protection!!! But they have always been 1 foot away from the Cliff It really is amazing that they pull any crowd or Membership. We have had very lean times as well, i am not forgetting that, but we go into Season 2025 chasing number 14… Meanwhile at St Kilda…..
  13. No point playing Kozz tomorrow, we need to get a replacement sorted out…
  14. The ‘64 Weg should be hung in the Louvre. It’s a work of absolute genius!
  15. Well that just means we disagree we need to engage the younger generations An Emblem can do that, as long as the product on the field is winning
  16. We all wore black or white shorts before Colour TV I thought the Swannettes looked great last night
  17. This has got nothing to do with onfield matters. A Club Emblem/Logo is all about getting young kids on board We have a large void to fill in that respect, which all started back in the mid 60’s when Television started to show Saturday Replays in Prime Time. Sadly this coincided with our fall down the ladder, which meant The MFC were very rarely on and when we were on, it was usually a heavy loss. The result being Kids followed other teams It wasn’t cool to be a Melbourne Supporter… The problem still exists, we have to grow our Membership and the lifeblood of that is Young Kids So an Emblem that they want to identify with and wear, is very important. I don’t mind our current logo, it’s ok, but i do think it is a little bland I think a Demon with a Trident is needed with Flames too….!!
  18. Gone to hospital. Serious…
  19. Not at all, in a practice game you have no idea what the tactics of the opposition are. Round 1 you know the opponent will be going at 100%
  20. Games where Players are not going at 100% against an opponent are dangerous. That’s when a lot of injuries happen. i am well aware nothing is bulletproof, but these televised games are a liability
  21. But you would be an [censored] to accept it We would never enter a deal over 3 years…
  22. Yes these practice games are dangerous. Everything should be inhouse until Round One
  23. Why would anyone accept that deal? That is not the situation Brad was referring to at all…
  24. Never liked that 90’s emblem… These 2 were heaps better
  25. Excellent article. Greeny comes across as a bit of a softy, but he isn’t He has done a heap of work inside the Club since September
