Well Done James McDonald. You are a legend of the MFC, and i hope you always stay close to the club-Your attitude can only be positive. Once that hammy injury got to 6 weeks i for one am not suprised that the club has "helped" you make your decision. We cannot carry anyone anymore. This club almost died 2-3 years ago-We need to give ourselves the best chance at success. I am sure Junior will still be around to help the young kids grow. Sad that you didn't run out on the 'G in 2000-but i am sure most here remember the message Woey had written on his arm. Lets win these last 2 games by good margins-and just maybe Junior can lead the Demons to a Final. You never know.

These 2 new "teams" have been cobbled together for reasons of Broadcasting & Marketing. So we Victorians & in particuliar MFC Supporters must make them feel uncomfortable & unwanted whenever they come anywhere near the MCG (and hopefully we can inflict much pain on them both when we travel to their money pits. Who will be the first Victorian Team to lose to these AFL Monsters?? nobody will want that acolade.

Off Field the MFC gets an A+ (that includes supporters) On Field a B- The West Coast, North, Carlton & Adelaide games were unacceptable considering the games we played against The Filth & the Western Dogs. But great positive steps were taken. Next year is a Big one. The Honeymoon is over. We must start to Beat Top Sides next year. A Close loss is not good enough, regardless of the situation. Watch the way Geelong destroyed Footscray last week Demons. That's the Level you must aim for next year & Future Years-not just for one week, but set that level as Par. If all the Team is Ready to pull in the exact same direction, it can be done. Geelong are in year 4 & look set for a few more yet. Next year we start the Journey to the Top-anything less is a Failed year. B)

A mighty big Preseason for Jack this summer. Time for Jack to really push himself. The indecision he has shown must be eliminated from his game. He can do it-He just has to do it,Back himself in the Big League. I doubt if Jack had to often get out of 3rd gear playing junior Football-now he does. This is new territory Jack. Don't be scared. Why rest players with only 2 weeks to go. The list is paid by the club to play Football, not sit in the Grandstand in a suit. It's time to win a game interstate, and then Smash North in front of our Home supporters-Anything less is unsatisfactory. The Season runs 22 weeks-we all know that. Why Rest players before they go on Holiday? We are still a long shot to make the 8. Keep winning Demons.

I think you are forgetting the Pre Season. Those injuries set us back a long way.

If a rule like that is changed, what happens to all the old Goalkicking stats and Records? It's a fundamental rule that just should never be touched. It's what makes Aussie Rules our own game, along with 3 or 4 other standard rules. How many times did Norm Smith or Fred Fanning hit the post??

Well that would mean their constitution has been changed over the last 2 years, and i doubt that. A very passionate Essendon supporter mate of mine voted on the clash jumper 2 years ago i think it was. Members votes count. If the Constitution at Essendon has changed, we all would have heard about it Essendon supporters will never agree to wearing st.kilda colours without a bloody fight, and nor they should.

We shall see. Essendon members must vote on this. A Fight like this one is never over. AFL Commissioners are Transient beasts. The MFC will outlive Vlad, Anderson & co.

Still doesn't change my position at all. I don't expect to win this fight in the short term. The AFL still hold the upper hand at this stage. We need to win games in september-including flags before we can totally stand alone. Build income streams outside the club that can be sustained and grown. This has nothing to do with "The Invincible Whites" It has to do with the Modern standardized "white" strips the AFL force upon us. Bask in the glory if you wish ID-I will always speak of the Red & Blue only.

Dean Bailey is just starting to get his act together after 3 hard years, let's give him a chance to go all out before you put extra pressure on him. Laidley may be a good coach, but i always thought he was about to explode during any media work. Not sure about him.

Do you work for the AFL? If not you certainly should. I don't Barrack for the AFL I Barrack for the Melbourne Footy Club. If 2 competeing clubs deem between themselves that a clash is obvious, then a vote should be given to the members...as is the Bummers Constitution. The AFL should not have any say over the Club Colours in any game we play.

Hitting the post could soon be a goal....Send the AFL to jail for bringing the Game into disrepute. As the rules of the game are at our club we should play the game by those rules i say The AFL are not trustworthy.

I know what i am argueing thankyou Mr Smart Arse-I trust this AFL with nothing. Each year rule changes, new Jumper combinations, slowly creeping in Don't tell me what i am thinking about 25, i will not cop that one bit.

That would not suprise me. A Ground the size of the MCG, if at full capacity the odds of someone dying is reasnoably high. I was at the 2006 GF and people around me nearly exploded in that last Quarter!!

Take a look at your own avatar I.D. I can't believe you are quite willing to sacrifice that Jumper for a no name white jumper that looks like any other team from a distance. I am actually quite shocked as to how many posters on Demonland are prepared to lose the jumper for 30-40% of our games because the AFL says so. You are telling me i am misgiuded, just because i do not want the MFC to lose it's jumper, and ultimately a large part of it's History & identity.
