  1. So the Team should just lie down Belly Up should they??? Great attitude, and a major reason for our lack of success of the past decades. I expect to beat Adelaide next week. They are having a rubbish year, and we the MFC have got to learn to Back up a great effort the week after. A poor effort in adelaide should not be tolerated, our interstate record has got to be the worst in the league, and if the Tigers can win games interstate, well need i say more. Big Effort this week Bails- QB was fantastic, but we gotta learn to follow up.

  3. Yes people have to take responsibility for there own actions. These days so many people want quick money and have no concept of saving. Not the fault of the poker machine.
  4. Yes he was and i bet if you asked him he would say the same thing. The Ox talked about his gambling last year on SEN really candidly and basically said as much Not Niave at all.
  5. Yep that would be right, probably the last straw before Tiger Ridley started the Merger push, We had no assets at all and small corporate and member support. it would have been Brilliant to be at the Lexus site Back then. Anyway enough of the merger years. At least we are far more secure now, with still a long way to go.
  6. yep i think you are right. Our Premiership hopes were ruined that day. I was just gutted when the news report came over the radio
  7. Yes you are right, i am not arguing that at all. Yes the Junction oval Represented Struggle and Shocking board management back in the 80's when most of the Victorian clubs left us for dead in terms of administration decisions. I am not having a go at you mate, but i always felt shame when i look at Hawthorn now Compared to the MFC at the Junction. The Hawks fired up in the late 50's because John Kennedy was inspired by Melbourne & Norm Smith. Thank God Jimmy & Co decided to begin the Revolution now at least.
  8. The Ox did his knee the first time because we were training on some disgraceful sub standard oval during the cricket season of that year. His subsequent knee problems happened because he came back to early once and the 3rd time it was because the old knees just weren't strong enough. Feel free to celebrate the Junction oval years if you wish, but i personally would like to see the place obliterated. It represents all the negative sides of the MFC- how we have slipped in the pecking order from what we once were.
  9. Possibly but i think the answer is closer to the fact that Brock is a little Dim upstairs, i mean he chose to play for carlton....
  10. Yes Yes i know all those answers, but The Ox would not have done his knee before the '95 season if we had not been punted around Grounds during the cricket season. I am allowed to loath the junction oval for that reason alone!!
  11. What's wrong with our Poker Machine Deal?? There is no law to say anybody must use them. I do not and never use Pokie Machines, but if any body wishes to indulge who am i or you to say this is bad? If somebody blows all their money on the Pokies i have no sympathy for them, as they are just Greedy & Stupid. I was rapt when i heard our new deal, as long as we are careful of that Bruce Mathieson person. As a member also do not put me on any moral high ground please. I speak for myself-It costs up to $50 million to run an AFL club these days, so i hope the Pokie Machines help the Club out no end B) Go Demons B) Let me add though, The rest of your post is spot on, absolutely.
  12. No i'm serious. The only reason we had to go to the junction was because we got Booted off the MCG after ridiculously parting ways with the MCC. The Facilities at junction oval are barely VFL standard. I want the Place demolished. As the oldest sporting club in the world i do not expect to ever see the MFC anywhere near the Junction oval again. Neale Danniher would love to have his time over again away from the junction i bet !!
  13. Nice Idea but considering the Junction Oval is one of the major reasons we have been Cannon Fodder of the AFL for the majority of 30 years, Personally i would prefer to give the Junction Oval a send off with High Explosive Dynamite!! Now that would be fun on a saturday night. Get Sir Roy Slaven & H. G. Nelson to commentate the whole build up and execution. Goodbye Junction oval Thank God we have out grown you. B)
  14. I want 5 Flags in succession so that we have 17 in total surpassing both Essendon & Carlton Whilst this is happening i wish to set a new Home & Away Attendance record of just over 100,000 people. I want all this to happen while Jim Stynes and his board are at the Helm. B) Thankyou carry on.....
  15. This is great news. We finally become a Professional club in the AFL starting this weekend. The Resurgence continues to roll. Let's hope we start winning interstate next........ B)
  16. Do it for jimmy. I cannot see the MFC or the MCC saying no, as long as all health and safety issues are covered. 33,000+ members sending love and wishes to our President. We are a great club getting better.
  17. But Queens Birthday is all about Melbourne & Collingwood. If the fixture is rotated then the day loses all meaning and just becomes another round. The Queens Birthday game is Melbourne v Collingwood-who cares what other supporters think. I don't always watch anzac day game once the pre game is over. Collingwood & Essendon do not turn me on. The day will become huge when at Round 12 Melbourne is undefeated, if filth supporters don't roll up good. More room for Melbourne supporters. It is Melbourne's day-somehow we have managed to keep it. It will grow with the team.
  18. How was that run through the Carlton Players very early on. R Flower could play today with that style...
  19. My God was that 9 years ago!! Our record is just beyond shocking interstate. The boys must learn to Bond-Do the job & come home. Block out the crowd. Its an oval of grass with 4 posts each end. Play as a team and back yourself.
  20. The boys will get more positive on that game as the week progresses. Collingwood didn't win, and that is always a good thing. And all the guys from the 1960 side would have been mighty proud of this "new" club. The Russian gave his all (reminds me of the way Jim Stynes used to play actually) Hold your head up Mark.
  21. I went to the Draw in '77 and the Replay, and i can tell you it was an amazing day...and to have the chance to go to another Grand Final was just Brilliant. I say leave the GF as it is.
  22. Great Game from the Big Russian. Geez he was knackered & Devastated during the Post Match Interview. I like seeing Blokes Bleeding for the Jumper. It means they really want to get better at the Game & as a team.
  23. Yes But the Key to all that Fluid Motion is the rapid acceleration of one A Davey. Notice the week before. He got well held, we couldn't mount continuous runs. I don't believe he is the only factor, but when the "Flash" is being creative we are always a chance to win.
  24. No No it's marvellous to witness the Pies Eating themselves & self destructing. They do represent the MOST over rated organization on the Planet Collingwood....... B)
  25. Plan A looked Bloody Good Yesterday. The Key to it looks to be Flash. When he can Run, the Team runs. Thus the team must allow him space, and negate Flash Taggers. B)
