Yep that is how i see it. Our “Homes” are scattered right now. The Facilities we have are ok to good, but are all over the suburbs. We are silent partners at AAMI and Casey. that does damage The Club in terms of Marketing and probably enticing some recruits to come to us and others to stay Bring on the redevelopment of the Great Southern Stand and get in there

The Hawthorn Cheer Squad has always looked like a Huge unflushed Public Toilet. In 1987 after the Preliminary Final my car was blocked in by the Hawthorn Cheer Squad van. 2 hours of their arrogant celebrations i had to endure. I will still hate that Club long after i am Dead and Gone

There was one drill they were doing right on the fence. It was brilliant to watch up close. Tracc and Kozzie weaving through heavy traffic training was not like that at the Junction Oval !! :)

We need to have foundations at the MCG. I hope the Club is quietly planning to be part of the New Southern Stand, keep Casey, no problem but we need to be a part of the ‘G It is the heart i saw Gosch’s Paddock last week. It is far rom a sub standard surface. What we have now is adequate. But of course we have to strive to be better.

We don’t have a traditional home (suburb) to leave. We were born out of the MCG. We left the MCG in the 80’s for a number of years and it was a disaster. we must stay connected to the ‘G. That is not to say we cannot have other facilities, but don’t cut the cord with the MCG

Remember those coffinl eskies that would hold 40 Big steal cans (Depth Chargers) 2 blokes would carry them in over the shoulder!!

The Players Canteen area could easily be a Social Club after match facility,when needed The days of drinking 30 pots and driving home are over
