Good opinion. And fair enough. If Wheatley were in Geelong though, I'd suspect he would rank highly in their team. What he does do is minimise the effect his direct opponent has on the game, which often goes unnoticed. Whilst still 'contesting' for loose balls as well as hard balls by backing himself and leaving his opponent, enabling melbourne to set up forward thrusts by breaking lines.

Great to see Newton get almost BOG against Werribee at Chirnside Park (bartercard Oval), despite reports, White wasn't that influential. Just had an ok game without dominating. Yze played ok, might be considered. I think White will be left at Sandy again for the next game. Newton will probably have another hitout in the VFL before being considered.

Maybe Bailey see's him as a player who can put a stop on someone. Job here, job there, whilst still trying to improve his efficiency with hand and foot. He hasn't played many games remember. I wouldn't worry too much, Bailey will know whether to keep him or not.

High Tower is so agile, and got some serious speed on him. Imagine once he learns more on how to bullock through packs like the Ox used to, he'll clean someone up legally one day! Go Dees! You have rocks in your head if you think Sylvia is going to trouble Wonaemirri. He's about 13-14 goals behind him . Wonaemirri will kick another 20 before the year is out. WHich leaves Sylvia to kick 30 odd in the last 8 games of the year. I'd love him to kick 3 every one of those last 8 games - but even so he will still be 6 behind even if he remarkably does that! Green is the only danger.
