2-3 years ago we dismantled Geelong underlights at the G and drew with them down at Skilled. How times have changed. Of course some of our players would get a game at Geelong or Hawthorn. It comes down to how well any of these particular players would adapt to either of the Hawks or Cats gameplans. It's all hypothetical and wouldn't happen, but it's an interesting question. I'm sure Bomber would prefer a Bruce, Green, Davey or McLean over a Varcoe or Stokes right now.

Hawthorn were able to draft both Roughead and Franklin in the one draft. Both kicked over 180 goals this year (70+ and 110+ respectively), they contibuted greatly to giving hawthorn a shot at a Premiership. They even contributed to the win on Saturday even though they kicked only 3 goals between them. They even got Jordan Lewis along with these two. helping the hawks get 3 picks inside the first 20, and two in the first 5. I want a Premiership too. I want to enjoy a Premiership as early as possible, so I can enjoy it. Not when I'm over 60 or 70 years of age (touch wood I get there). Obtaining Picks 1 and 2 in the 2009 draft would contribute greatly and benefit the Melbournefc, no matter what anyone says. Bull#$t!!! Hawthorn spent 3 years in the cellar....we need an injection of quality players BB, its that simple. May I remind you of how far we are behind... It would certainly give Melbourne a greater improvement, rather than one pick in the first 16 picks.

I agree with Point 1 about the Captaincy. Act Now! Appoint Brock McLean as Captain.

There is no use waiting another year, regardless of the B&F result and the seasons had by Bruce, Green. Regardless of the current captains. It is inevitable that Brock McLean will be captain of the Mfc. Give it to Brock over pre-season for the start of next season. No use holding out another 12 months.

CJ, hit his straps under Bailey this year. Pleasing to see his confidence, effort and persistence in games improve dramatically. How unfortunate he injured his groin, not a good sign for the preseason just around the corner. Will need to continue his form under Bailey's tutelage to remain at the Dees.

He has something BB that is for sure, I haven't seen a player like this before for the Dees. You are quite right he is finding his measure. I can't wait to see his development over the next few years and can't wait to see what this kid has in store for Melbournefc.
