  1. Great servant for our club in his time. Lead us to a number of finals campaigns. Wish him all the best for his future endeavours.
  2. I am not surprised at all that Joel Corey won. Full year, very consistent, All-Australian. Ablett missed 5 games through injury. Corey was $12 to win the Brownlow on the fourth line of betting too. Corey thoroughly deserved this honour at Cat land.
  3. Interesting that Dennis Commetti mooted half way through the season during his commentary, that Melbourne could well do with a Seaby. Wonder if the champ knew something back then?
  4. Not so sure BB. Have a read of this link regarding Warnock. However, it does come accross that they will consider a trade or two if the cards fall their way - so to speak. IMO they will draft, draft, draft kids and may look at getting another 1st or second round pick (inside the first 25 hopefully) via a trade. I'd be happy with that, certainly! Just a thought - it wasn't at all surprising for me to see where Davey finished up in the B&F, the coaches obviously were not happy with his output throughout the season. Trade Bait perhaps? What was a bit of a shock was how many votes Nathan Jones finished up on: 22 votes. (18th position) http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/sport/afl...3-19742,00.html http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/sport/afl...4-19742,00.html
  5. That they do. If it was based on votes per game (or best average), Brocky would have won by the length of the Bathurst straight!
  6. I'd like to take this opportunity to congratulate Brock McLean. Based on the strike rate of votes in games he is head and shoulders our Best & Fairest. Having just played 14 games, had he prevented injury he would have waltzed in the Bluey. Congratulations Brock McLean. edit: As Mark Steven alluded to in his article, Brock McLean was the big story of last night: - http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/sport/afl...4-19742,00.html
  7. 7 out of 10 players in the top 10, missed on Warnock, Bartram & Wonaeamirri.
  8. So he should of been inducted, hell, he made the Mfc Team of The Century side.
  9. Firstly, I'm quite surprised Green finished behind McLean. Cameron Bruce however finished off the season really well apart from the teams results. Brad Green didn't finish the season well IMO. Green's last 6 weeks were mediocre in comparison to how well his season started. Bruce would have consistently polled well in the latter part of the year where Green whilst posting modest numbers - wasn't as influential and as hard at it as he was in the first half of the year IMO. ANyway, congrats to Bruce, McLean and Green. 1st, 2nd and 3rd. edit: McLean 14 games, Green 20 games, Bruce 22 games.
  10. Yes they will have to nominate him for their first pick as father-son, because St.Kilda are looking at him at pick 13.
  11. I'm sure this will become someone's focus shortly........not to mention anyone's name....
  12. There you go sports fans....Aug 19.
  13. I agree Biz. STill scratching my head on the above...
  14. I would of thought Wheatley would of finished much higher. Wheatley finished 9th. edit: Disappointing for these blokes: - Nathan Jones 22 Colin Sylvia 22 Aaron Davey 20 Daniel Bell 19
  15. Must of got up in the last two rounds, surely... must be extra votes for errant handballs...well done Brucey. (Well done No.32)

    Jack Watts!!!!

Any idea on how Daniel Bell went with those same tests???

    Jack Watts!!!!

..He'd knock himself out...literally. (Giansiracusa style)
  18. Been announced on Fox Sports News, Port signed Burgoyne for 1 year, with a clause for a second year. He must play a certain amount of games in 2009, and pass a trigger point to give him a second season in 2010. The amount of games is disclosed. Perhaps ND and Fagan should of done that with Carroll when then re-signed him....
  19. There is six people that will not have to pay again for a membership. That's a minimum of $1,000 a year to the club, minimum. The one who paid $7,000 - thats equivalent to nearly 20 years worth of memberships. Does the money from the life memberships go to Debt Demolition, Dee-tention?
  20. Drawing a long bow here regarding the picks. I suppose if this years form holds true for next year we may be looking at another priority pick. I'd expect some improvement though. Agree but I have doubts on the ones listed in bold. Jury is out for me with these guys...next season will give us the answers.
  21. All the more reason why he shouldn't Captain the side next season.
  22. Totally agree. The way he came back on after injuring his ankle shows just as much G&D as Hodge with broken ribs coming back on. Needs the captaincy IMO. edit: My prediction: 1. Brad Green 2. Cameron Bruce 3. Brock McLean 4. Paul Wheatley 5. Colin Garland 6. Colin Sylvia 7. Brad Miller 8. Cale Morton 9. James McDonald 10. Nathan Jones
  23. I'd go along with that too.
  24. Three instances (only) which may have resulted in 18 points +. May have eased the pressure somewhat.
  25. Umm. Did you attend the Grand Final with 100,012? That was loud.
