  1. Goose, give up on pick 4. It won't happen. A Ryan O'Keefe wouldn't get pick 4. And he's the best player bandied around at present. Forget it.
  2. With respect to the draft, just listened to SEN regarding the draftees at draft camp (there was this one time, at draft camp;lol), an official based at the camp said that Jack Watts was an absolute standout in so many areas. There was also a test which had something to do with choosing the right option in the forward 50 - don't ask me how they do this test - but he excelled significantly over other draftees. Recording scores of 9/10, 9/10, etc. This bloke also said that there was another Dan Hannebury, who also did quite well, and thought he might be a bit of a smokey as an early pick.
  3. ouch. Must be confident in your right one.
  4. As I pointed out Paul Roos wants a first round draft pick and player.
  5. Had a great season. A full pre-season will ensure #38 takes some significant steps & I'm sure we will see more improvement in the year ahead.
  6. I'm tipping a three-way deal here. More than likely I will be wrong . But I will go out on a limb and take a 'speculative' stab at it: - O'Keefe to Hawthorn Green to Sydney and Melbourne's third round pick (35) Hawks first round draft pick (16) to Melbourne, and second round pick (34?) to Sydney I'll await the critics..... Feel free to comment, is it a win-win-win? edit: In the above deal Sydney may appear short changed, in getting Green and two 3rd round picks. So it might need the Hawks to trade Tim Boyle beforehand. ie A 2nd round pick for Boyle, on forward this pick to Sydney along with Melb's 3rd round pick and Green. edit, edit: Forget it, Roos has stated he wants a 1st round pick.
  7. Green's manager said last night that nothing had changed, and they were still assessing their options - after Green had met with Bailey. edit HERE IT IS
  8. Ok, well the Blues may have to do better than pick 24. I hate Visy. edit: I'm sure Warnock would slide through to the PSD not ND.
  9. Nah, we'll face a tough choice then in the PSD....Grgic too....Connolly was on Big Footy last night PS. What's a 'train toady?' Does that train leap the tracks?
  10. Good read, thanks Oracle.
  11. Quite right. The Swans will want to get the Ryan O'Keefe deal done asap. Swans seem to like getting their deals done early in the piece. Keep those effective picks 1,16 and 18, I say.
  12. ? Correct. Just relaying what Laidley said..
  13. Surely one of the best ever.
  14. Yes, I wouldn't either. Gutsy move Addam. Interesting to read nevertheless. I agree with pantaloons in respect to Pick 35 for Farren Ray. If Connolly is now raising the possibility for pick 17 or 19 for Warnock, I wonder if its just a ploy to try and obtain Warnock through the PSD. We've got to keep our early picks IMO. Hopefully the list management meeting went well last night for the Mfc footy department. As well as Barry's presentation of the draft prospects. Thanks for the info Nudge.
  15. Wtf? No one will give a continental except the AFL when it is announced next year. Another change to the rules or procedures by the AFL. It's just not kosher. It's all about the "vibe". Vlad has gone bonkers Has Toyota pulled the plug on the AFL, causing a delay to this announcement? Has this all been caused by the Carlton Draught Blimp over the G on Grand Final day? - Which made Toyota 'very unhappy', considering the Millions they pour into the AFL ($10 million/year) Hmmmmm. <_<
  16. I understand that Goose. He will shop him around to see what he gets in offers...but as I heard him on SEN, he will more than likely stay a Kangaroo if they do not get what they want. They might want a high 2nd round or low 1st round pick for him,.....for all we know they might be eyeing off 19th pick, which is the Dees pick. To see if we come to their party? Wait until Friday, 2pm.
  17. In order to get more picks or better positional picks, I would have thought the Mfc need to be active during trade week which includes the trading or the swapping of picks and or players.
  18. Hamish McIntosh is not on the table Goose, it was reported Dean Laidley has said that there has been alot of interest for him. Clubs know that Hale and Petrie get preference over McIntosh. Laidley has also said that if he were a betting man, he would stay a Kanagaroo.
  19. How long ago did they have a falling out?
  20. Just announced on SEN, Dean Laidley has said if the right deal can be struck, Hamish McIntosh could be traded. Also, Brent Prismall has requested to be traded from Geelong. edit: Hamish McIntosh's manager has said that Hamish is staying put. Go figure...
  21. Well, if you could get pick 22 for Green without the addition of a pick, sure. That would be preferred.
  22. This is a much better post Y_M. Have you turned over a new leaf? In this case, you tell it as it is. However, after this trade & draft period we will have some additional exciting young talent which all goes well for the future. If we can rid of our debt by the start of next season, we'll be on our way up...slowly..but nevertheless up.
  23. SEN passed it off as just speculation Titan. They received it by email and sms. Just a rumour.
