  1. I know! Bl##dy GC17!! Ah well. Happy with the Sculls. I reckon he will be a lock in at #1 now.
  2. Well not unimpressive, he just didnt do a lot.
  3. Agree. Scully got shoved by Trengove into the ground had to go off with blood nose. Not sure if its broken at the ground. Perhaps those in the luxury of their living rooms can inform. Both reasonably quiet although Scully has immediate impact with his first time grabs and sheer running ability to create and apply defensive pressure.
  4. Trengove on Scully which makes it easier to watch both!
  5. I don't think he's a lock just yet. Although he is favoured to if you read or listen to most commentators. Of late Trengove has made good progress according to some 'anonymous' recruiters quotes in papers. Indeed. Whilst decisions can't be made on one game alone. Will keep a watchful eye on prospective draftees mentioned throughout the threads today at Etihad, and give some insight later tonight/early tomorrow.
  6. Here are some drafts to remember: - (Attn: Moderators - might be an idea to create a Drafting & Trading Forum, to free-up the Message board) Can this also be pinned for the benefit of everyone? IMPORTANT DATES: September 29 - October 2: Draft Camp, AIS Canberra October 2: Father son nominations lodged with AFL October 5: Father-son bidding meeting November 28: 2009 NAB AFL National Draft December 15: Pre-Season Draft & Rookie Draft
  7. I would imagine the no.9 will go to someone in Oct/Nov. If the number 31 becomes available that could also be something the club might look at. Yes the coverage starts from 9:30am on fox sports 1 (Ch 501).
  8. Fair Bump. Play on...
  9. Yes. Anyone noticed of recent weeks how many players have been run down by Alwyn davey, since his tackle on Jack Watts in the half backline..I've counted on two hands how many Alwyn Davey has mowed down as if they were witches hats. The latest being Kade Simpson last Friday night. In the words of Hannabals interview with Lethal; Lethal would say, "Ooh he's awwfuwy qwuick that young Dawey boy....I hawent noticed his speed before!.."
  10. By my clock, it's now 40 minutes out.
  11. I look at 1999 and then look at 2001 (in particular the No.3 picks)........................then I feel so sorry for Richmond........NOT.
  12. U/16's playing Auskick.
  13. Great effort longsuffering. Collectively this whole story is very heart warming. When our club is suffering on the field, off the field there seems to be alot of synergy amongst all Demon supporters. The Liam Jurrah story is one hell of a shining light for season 2009.
  14. *Bump* :D Here, here. If you haven't read the article yet. Read it.
  15. Each to their own. I wasn't the only one who put Jones in. There were a few others. You were the only one who put Robbo in and you were the only one who missed watching Bruce and missed putting him in the votes. I find it somewhat mind boggling how on earth you could miss Bruce. He was up & down the field all night. Despite the sides very poor showing. Anyway. I'd rather look forward to West Coast now. At the time on Saturday night, I'd had a few. Looks like I took out my frustration then. No hard feelings.
  16. And a spot on TFS. Good story.
  17. You certainly tell it as you see it. "IF" for some reason, the club were going for anyone as a new coach after next year - if things went that way. I would hope that the club does look at Todd Viney as a possible replacement. He was highly regarded at Hawthornfc. From the outside view, I think Adelaidefc would be happy with him as an assistant. If Buckley commands a fortune - as you say. What do you think Viney - with much experience now - would be worth? I would say he'd be up there as one of the most sort after now. Don't you think? Would he be more worthwhile getting him as an assistant role within the club. Ie Midfield Coach? Would he be interested in a Senior Coaching role? Do we know? I'm not sure just yet.
  18. Wouldn't that move go against our rebuild and development plan the club has in place? I wouldn't draft him in the PSD; I'd wish him all the best for a boxing career.
  19. Ok. I'll take it back 45h. He's got rocks in his head. Is that better?
  20. Neale Daniher.
  21. Chris Connolly? He hasn't even got control of the list at Melbournefc. Besides as it stands - if he had control of the list - he couldn't run the list into the ground anymore than it already is/was. Go sign up Mick would you;
  22. Two of Newtons goals were about 2-3 metres out, running in and/or assisted. Sodas. Strauss, Valenti, Dunn, Bell and/or Cheney could be given a call up depending on who gets dropped to Casey from the seniors IMO.
  23. Been covered.
  24. Actually agree with your assessments on the players mentioned Freak. Good summary IMO. Although. The title of the thread isn't that bad...because we do require them. Getting them is another story. We might just have to develop them. Ie. Watts, Scully,...until such time when we are on the up and become an attractive proposition for those (marquee player) who might want to move back to VIC or change clubs. But that's a long shot - all the same.
