2024 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
I don't think he will be pigeon holed to one position. He possesses flexibility and I think would swing forward/ruck. I wanted to see him up forward but QLD had good options up forward. Side note: The Vic M v QLD and NSW/ACT v Vic Country games - both NSW/ACT and QLD both won relatively comfortably. Looking at their personnel during and after games leaving there were quite a few players from Sydney Swans and GWS academies. Same for the Queensland boys (GC/Bris Ac.). Their academies were heavily represented. They have quality players to choose from. All four AFL teams would be frothing at their mouths at these prospects. Healthy lists in future years I have no doubt.

That still hurts.

2024 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
I was there, it was more a full back role to be honest. Lining up on Vic M key forward. Moves like his old man, possesses a big leap. Reminded me of Darcy Moore. Spoiled a few contests, got lost a bit once or twice by his opponent. Was on and off the ground every quarter.

Mate, you need to check your notes better. Port beat the Swans by 112 points. And if you think Soldo and Finlayson aren't in their best 22 you also need to brush up on your footy. You did say arguably, which I do disagree. If you're asking me about the game, yes I thought we were a realistic chance of winning the game, we did ok in patches, and not in others. Overall, we didn't do well, with some of our players output and skills disappointing me. Kozzie was a shining light and nearly went a long way to winning the game. He and Max were huge. It was a dire struggle littered with howler errors - some from pressure, others poor skill execution and poor decisions. So they performed below my expectations. As for the Swans - they were well off in all areas (unusual for them) as Longmire admitted and rightly got pantsed. Back to your first question. You weren't sure of my point on my last post. 🤔 The point is both teams were missing "arguably" 3 - maybe 4 starting players. Every team at this time of year are missing some players (for whatever reason). You rate SSP as one of their top 6 players - I'd rate Georgiades up in their top 6 most important. How could you not, he is that important for them up forward. So take your rose coloured glasses off somewhat and understand that both teams didn't field their best 22/23. And both whilst a little undermanned - weren't severely undermanned.- POSTGAME: Rd 22 vs Port Adelaide

Spargo, Smith and Bowey is a stretch. Bowey being your best argument for best 23. But he hasn’t exactly been stellar in ‘24. And we knew well before the season started that Smith and Gus were no longer.. If you’re happy that last night was indeed a “severely undermanned” fielded team, good for you - I certainly wouldn’t.- Dan Houston
- What was your excuse?
Well it won’t be Melbourne. MCG is our home ground. Every other team are just tenants. I was there last night and it was disappointing and fwiw the 17,800 - odd crowd attendance figure included the 6,500 seagulls!- POSTGAME: Rd 22 vs Port Adelaide
Jaded. It’s noted. Whilst they are key players - it’s still not “severely undermanned” I have seen May make blunders like TMac did last night. Howlers. And I’ve seen him make mistakes like Lever did last night too. How many times have you seen the defenders apologize to one another for their f-ups this season? TMac is the clubhouse leader! And well done for noting well before I did that our poor skills and decision making were very costly. Would you like a medal? 🏅- POSTGAME: Rd 22 vs Port Adelaide

Sorry, but Max was not “great” He may have had 51 hit outs - but a large chunk of percentage of these were either straight to or sharked by a Lions player. There was more movement and positive signs from him in the last quarter. But the game was over at 3/4 time. And Lions has already put the cue in the rack.- POSTGAME: Rd 05 vs Brisbane

Agree would be a significant gesture and recognition of a great team the women have who could go back-to-back. A nice little bonus. You don’t have to be Einstein to work out there are indeed culture issues off field. Which is why they are rightly or wrongly questioning it. Good list. Where is the club at with our home base? Training base at Casey. Occasionally train at Goschs. Offices in AAMI. Demon Shop at the G. How much work is being done here? And how much progress. A home base with everyone together would strengthen the club. #strongertogether- The 2023 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
And they’re the envy of every club … going into this years Draft with the envious pick of 73…- The Pick 1 Thread
No, not really. I’m trying to analyze what Lamb stated - that we could look to improve picks a little. And part of that is helping clubs what they might want. 4,5 & 6 not a lot of difference, still going to get a quality player. But these clubs have a massive drop off for their next pick. Would they consider moving up several spots for their next pick and fall back one on their first? - POSTGAME: Rd 22 vs Port Adelaide
