  1. I think some are more focussed on how their Facebook is going and their property developments
  2. Yet. just kidding, but it did seem to be a classic gamblers statement. Probably best left unsaid. BTW I'm with you on Facebook. Could we include Twitter too?
  3. I doubt the published team positions will bear much relationship to reality on game day IMHO
  4. Cold - it is a winter sport, Geelong would be colder (and despite no rain I typically find ShytyHead freezing) Uncomfortable - at the time spectator seating was no more uncomfortable than most parts of the G and everyone could get a seat Congested - not the ground, spectator area or parking, The surrounding roads, exits yes Hard to access - yes To me there were only two major problems 1/ Access by public transport - and this was purely political esp when the premier was on the board of trustees for MCG 2/ Arrangement of spectator area - too far from the boundary and too gentle a slope on tierring Point 1 could have been solved but point 2 would have required a massive rebuild A pity really because the sport really requires another large capacity stadium and they did stuff this one up. Others would argue that the location disadvantaged the growth areas North and West. True, but at that time, and before ShytyHead, there was room to also build a similar complex in the NorthWest. Anyway, its all water under the bridge now and the big end of town won out
  5. No arguments here, and you could add to the list Problem is most clubs would have the same list if you asked them So it all boils down to how you emphasise them teach them practice them enforce them reward them etc i.e. its not about defining the non-negotiables its about managing the non-negotiables that makes the difference.
  6. in which case he is also in-Seine.
  7. strange they dropped McEvoy, would have been a chance to play him back into form
  8. in that case I hope you make a s*** load of money
  9. You're getting there - "put your b***s on the line" And it was actually the unofficial school motto
  10. agree on this, it really pizzes me
  11. Wow, that would certainly get the boys up and going, but.....no cigar, sport P.S. you might be in trouble with the mods
  12. I think the boys can win this one if they just remember my old school motto "pone aciem nuces"
  13. Hope you make a quid out of it Rudebuy, publishing is a tough business Looking forward to it - a great story to tell
  14. "But the Dees have lost small forward Austin Wonaeamirri with a knee injury. As expected Rohan Bail (knee), Colin Garland (ankle) and Lynden Dunn (suspension) are also sidelined through injury. "
  15. Injury list is all Knees (5) and Foot/Ankles (4) Does this say anything about conditioning or just bad luck? Rohan Bail (knee) - 4-6 weeks Jack Fitzpatrick (ankle) - 7-9 weeks Colin Garland (ankle) - 6-8 weeks Jack Grimes (foot) - season Mark Jamar (knee) - 3-5 weeks Jared Rivers (ankle) - test Tom Scully (knee) - 3 weeks Jake Spencer (knee) - season Austin Wonaeamirri (knee) ??????
  16. are you psychic (or psy-chick )? How do you know Evans will get injured or play poorly? Go Michael Evans
  17. yeah agree, pretty pathetic and not original sometimes the little naughty boy in me slips out
  18. I think a lot of people would have the same misgivings and unease And with the prez being so publicly involved with damaged kids it doesn't sit too well Being mercenary, does anyone know what sort of money is involved? I doubt its very much but wouldn't have a clue
  19. and.....'the world is round' was once a conspiracy theory! still is by Tigger supporters......only "conspiracy theory" is too big a mouthful for them so they call it "a pile of shyte"
  20. Now who's confusing speculation with facts. Of course they'd want Swan Swan would cost no more than Ablett They could also find other ways to pay which the AFL would gladly oblige/help Anyway if they want Sculls it would be for different reasons than they would want Swan. They could find $$s for both
  21. Are you serious? Was Ablett (older and more expensive) not a realistic acquisition for GCS.
  22. thanks Tricky, yes I was waiting for something like "as long as you avoid the crocodles"
