My brother is a man of courage and conviction, but I wouldn't have him coaching Melbourne in a month of Sundays (and he has played about 200 games of state league football) We all know Bailey can be very articulate, non-emotional and logical. You only have to remember his presentation in the original coach selections. But do all these nice admirable personal attributes make a good premiership-capable coach? I don't know and I do agree that just at this moment it is still too early to pass judgement, but I'm not swayed by a sentimental journalistic piece of political correctness in the Hun.

sorry dee-luded I think you're clutching at straws there we all know Bater has some talents (albeit limited) but he rarely shows them with any frequency and his deficiencies just stand out too much. I think playing one reasonable game every 6 outings has put his future in serious doubt. A pity cos a couple of years ago I thought he might come on but his development has stalled. I see him at Casey for the rest of the season with Juice (and preferably Dunne) and we pump some games into the youngsters whilst we can.

lol, and I know one os based 'lander who predicted a top 4 finish this year I didn't seek this year as a development year originally, more a tightening up year. Now I see the rest of the year as very much a development year. Blood some more of the youngsters (Howe, Nicholson, Blease, Strauss, Gawn, maybe Cook and some others).
