I suspect it was not such an easy thing as just check his FB page In future are we now expected to check the FB pages of all execs and board members of any prospective sponsor?

Robbie I can agree that there was a lot to not like about EW apart from FaceBook but what I struggle to come to grips with is why multi-Billion$ companies like Tru-Energy, AGL and whatever the other one was were prepared to do big business through them (not to mention the other sporting clubs) and even 3AW who are in the media business and have far better research capabilities, also failed in their due diligence. I can see mfc looking at this list of impressive companies doing business with EW and saying as part of their due diligence "well looks like they are ok with EW". I know this is a bit of a 'you too' argument and you could say you only care what mfc do but to some extent these other companies are also part of the broader context. But I do agree it does not look good I'm just not comfortable it is a sacking offence

of course that's the real issue but it doesn't suit the media to highlight that as they are the recipients of such AFL 'largesse'. Its very much an issue of conflict of (dirty) interest for the media so they chose to highlight any other issue to push the issue of leaking to the background. Imagine Caro with no-one to leak to her. And talking of Caro, she seems to avoid mention of Mifsud leaking to her and to Smith, instead focussing only on the Thomas leak when in essence its the same issue with respect to Mifsud. Anyway don't expect the media to be 'balanced' when their own interests are threatened
