Caro digs up old wounds of Camp Fiasco on eve of season.
You mean drivel but I take your point. Drivel: nonsense, claptrap, bladerdash, twaddle etc

Nothing wrong with that article. She's right. Season goes well, it will be forgotten. If we show mental weakness (round23) it will come up again.

2018 Membership Thread
What's this about scarves? I received none. Don't we pick them up at the G? PS: enough with the whinging. Membership is a duty.

Billy Hartung
I've made my opinion clear near the start of this thread and enough agree with me...can we just stop talking about this phoney who goes to water under pressure. I would be astonished if in the same off season we dropped Jack W that we picked up this [censored].

Billy Hartung
This is such a misguided thread. Hartung is one of my benchmarks for Hawthorn struggling in future. Wish they were keeping him because he is no good under pressure. A waste of space.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Sorry if this is covered elsewhere but The Age is reporting that the Crows are so sure of Lever coming to us that that fact prompted their query about the possibility of trading for Petracca or Oliver. They were told no chance on both counts.

Umpiring of MFC games very questionable
Yes but, Troy Pannell was in perfect position to see a couple of throws in the first quarter and let them go. Ditto a push in the back in a marking contest that resulted in a Pie goal. Umpiring blues hurt us, no doubt. That does not change the fact that our blokes were a disgrace in the first term for the lack of pressure they put on their opponents. Not one free kick in the first term? Wow.

Umpiring of MFC games very questionable
If you seriously think there is nothing dodgy about the umpiring then you have not been attending too many games. At 3/4 time today it was 11:18 against us despite the fact we had been leading all day. While the Saints clearly "won" the 3rd quarter that was on the back of bewildering decisions at centre bounces. Final stats were 20:20 - Razor and his mates clearly set out to even up the stats in the last term once we were on top. Were they biased? I don't know but they were clearly intent on fixing the stats/

Clarence Oliver
Yes that was strange. It was after the blue and Watts appeared confused about whether to go into the middle where we had only three players so its interesting the umpire would not let him in. Sorry off topic but it did give Clarry one more touch. Let's see if he is more willing to kick next week.

Clarence Oliver
Disagree. He set Hogan up for a crunching tackle by refusing to kick in that situation. It was a hospital handpass without the elevation. We were pressing hard and he had to kick looking for a contest in that situation. The classic opportunistic goal was Weideman off a marking contest in the goal square a few minutes later, and before you say yes but that was a Hogan contest, we did have players inside 50 who could have created a contest if Clarry had gone the boot. What would you rather have: a contest inside attacking 50 or the rebound goal that resulted directly from that round-robin episode with Hogan and Oliver? That Hogan-crunched incident would not be so significant if Clarry had not over-handballed all day. I gave him one vote in the player of the round for his winning of the ball which was sensational, but only one vote because he created over-use. OK Just checked replay. We had SIX players inside 50 seconds before Clarry set up Hogan for that crunch: Hannan (who flew for the previous contest), Watts, Neal-Bullen, Viney, Tyson and at least one other and also in the area was Petracca so the no option line does not hold up in IM(humble)O.

Mark Neeld's Spray on Morton.
It isn't. It's an example of a reporter using modern technology to inform himself and his readers. I really enjoyed the article and it was using this site to demonstrate the division among supporters about Cale. Could hardly have been more apt. It was not adopting any of our opinions, simply noting that we are split on Cale's value or prospects. Some people (rpfc included apparently) aren't happy unless they're miserable and whingeing is their way of life.

Demons offer Clarkson 5 year deal [2011]
The Malthouse talk always had the smell of smokescreen for me, with Clarkson clearly the right man for us and that we would have a go. Knows the club from the inside. Has the right level of a---hole that a coach needs, Even with a $5 million five year deal we are an outside chance only. The key is the Hawks won't be able to give him five years - obviously the dough is big but five years in his caper is a lifetime. As to those asking where did we get the money- I suspect that's what the big end of town is supposed to supply and I would not be surprised if some promises have been made assuming we get the right bloke...

DEBT DEMOLITION
PS I had hoped for a big lift from Saturday's game. Let's hope it comes round 22. Say 20,000 members/supporters turn up to see us [censored] the Toygs. Each donates an average of $20 that day. There's $400,000. That's the kind of effort we need. Put it together Jimmy

DEBT DEMOLITION
Going to struggle to get to $3 million - I don't know if Foxtel's $100K is counted in the running tally. If it is, we will be lucky to make $2.5 million. Best hope the club has another big hit up its sleeve but even that might just get us to $3 M.

DEBT DEMOLITION
Just tipped in $250 - keep it going folks...
