  1. I did say I wouldn't post again but I couldn't help it. If he ever had the intention to stay he would have signed. You are naive to believe otherwise. What we are seeing now is stage 2 of "Tom's a great guy,he's playing for GWS, and it's not all about the money". Stage 1 was last week when we had the "Melbourne's offer fall's short rubbish" This week it's the "Rift with senior management rubbish" He agreed a long time ago the rest is a charade run by the AFL. The only reason he's playing is because the club needs the compensation picks. AFL anyone? This is big business and it's run that way. The masses are kept in the dark by reading lightweight journalism and the top few line their pockets. Unfortunately what big business forgets is that this competition had a soul and that's what made it great. Little by little that is watered down and the game is worse off because of it. FFS they changed the rules at the drop of a hat to make sure we couldn't keep him. Let's take the picks, Boo him loudly next year and hope like hell we can keep the rest of our players.
  2. Tell them to run backwards while you and 2 mates charge at them with the intent to hurt them.
  3. Or we could live in the moment and discuss there current from as well as their future potential or lack there of. For mine I thought Blease showed us nothing to suggest he will either make it or not. His best run and carry should of been pinged for running too far. He was caught and got a fortunate free kick. He showed some good endeavour. He got 5 possessions, as you suggest, we should probably all wait until at least next week!
  4. Really happy to see Blease get some game time at the top level. From all reports he's got the dash and kick to be a weapon in the future. Once again coach Bailey takes the development route. Hats off to him for this.
  5. I'd just about take beating Carlton and knocking them out of the top 4 over making the finals
  6. Watts was soft just 7 games ago! Morton will be a very good AFL footballer
  7. Lighten up bruiser. He's clarified it, let's move on to the next "I spoke to My girlfriend's ex's third cousin who spoke to Tom Hafey's wife who knows some people who live in the same suburb as Tom's parents and they heard at the local RSL from Bert Newton that Tom was a noble and likable chap" story. Hell even I've added one to the mix which if I had my time again I would have left out. Not because what I was told isn't from a good source but in the end it's just someone talking and conveying their opinion as fact. I've decided not to post anymore on this topic until we here it from the club and Tom. It has been a guilty pleasure!
  8. GOOD Scully in Red and Blue BAD Scully not wearing red and blue UGLY Scully wearing other colours.
  9. OUT: Scully, Salary Cap Space. IN: Jack Viney, 2 first round picks.
  10. I'm done. I thought GWS could on trade Scully to Richmond or use their preseason pick.
  11. Morton's formline is on the up, which is precisely why the FD keep playing him. They sent him back to casey, bought him back a week or two early because of injuries and he's got better each week. Dropping him know would undo the good work on both Morton's and the FD's part.
  12. If Ben Nason is dangerous against us we'll lose. He's in the Newton basket of AFL spuds.
  13. GWS only have to give Richmond first pick in the preseason draft. Done Deal
  14. Someone asked how he could get to richmond. All I did was show them. Do I think it will happen? Who knows
  15. That's between GWS, Richmond and Tom. If it's about getting to richmond and not the money there's nothing stopping them paying him $400,000
  16. People asked how it could be done, all I did was show them.
  17. Tom leaves Melbourne to go to GWS. Richmond give Newman to GWS, their first round pick to Port, Port give GWS Trengove and GWS gives Scully to Richmond. It's the kind of deal that could be done. Don't ever think it can't happen.
  18. He didn't like their facilities.
  19. I've an 8 minute walk to work each day. That's where my Demonland time comes from!
  20. You mean I've read 2000+ posts for nothing?
  21. Watching players carried off with concussion's hardly a highlight of a modern sport. It'll take 12 - 18 months for the players to adapt. Tackling will still be an integral part of the game, just without the concussion. I'm in total agreement with the MRP on this.
  22. Blease may be close to selection this week IN: Jamar, Blease, Gysberts OUT: Gawn, Bennell, Bartram Please not Dunn. We already know he's not upto it.
