  1. too contracted, too many others to chop...too good at casey on the weekend....hello
  2. Sam Blease playing well and Jack Trengove signing will get me to next year. Let's hope the rest of the club can follow their lead. Pace, Determination, Will to succeed and COMMITMENT to the Red and Blue.
  3. I have no interest in watching us masquerade as a good football team by beating up on the new guy.
  4. As usual it's amateur hour with the good old boys down at Melbourne. Our strong list is the only thing that may land us a coach of any quality
  5. If we believe Jones is untouchable then so is a Premiership. Accepting mediocrity has got us where we are today. Gumbleton would be worth a look but he's not worth much.
  6. Just hand over some cash and move on. Without money will remain a basket case. The Schwab saga does feel like very poor management but hey what's new!
  7. Look closer So what you are telling me is you believe the media in relation to Green but not in relation to Scully. Not only that you're comparing apples and oranges in the first place
  8. Those of you who can't see the difference between the contract negotiations of Watts and Scully need to look again.
  9. No surprises there. Scully is going to play for GWS next year, he has been a destabilizing influence on our young team all year. He is unable to give his full attention to the job we are paying him to do. He isn't willing to COMMIT to this team and club. I look at him and see all that is wrong with the competition and those that run it. Although I won't boo him until next year I have no problems with those that do. Personally the only reason I can see for him not playing in the casey 2nds is the need for 2 first round picks.
  10. No we haven't improved and the main reason we haven't is because we entered the season totally unprepared for the current game style. With a good coach surrounded by a solid football department this list is the beginning of a very strong side. The current leadership group needs to be totally removed from power and replaced with Frawley, Trengove, Watts and Grimes. Don't throw the baby out with the bath water folks. The list is solid. Lose Scully and Sylvia for 3 first round picks and Jack Viney and the rebuild continues.
  11. Maybe he doesn't want to, just maybe what he says is the truth, shocking isn't it.
  12. This competition is becoming a f**king joke. We can't pay a player a Judd style payment but carlton can? We can't pay his rent outside the cap but his new club can? We can't go to Arizona but a new club can? The world we live in so intrinsically rooted by greedy f**ks with huge ego's who basically answer to no one. And these same people wonder why London burned. It'd be funny if it wasn't going to end up cooking all our children.
  13. I'll be happy when Tapscott puts him on his arse.
  14. Scully's gone. Why he's still playing in the ones is beyond me. Commit or Fark off. I can no longer watch this team with him in it. Moloney is the classic frontrunner that this club relies on for it's big wins. Has the guy had a good game against quality opposition this year? You can add Green, Davey, Jones, Dunn and Bate to that list. They should all be dumped to Casey for the remainder. How Sylvia was dumped in front of this lot is beyond me. It's a train wreck not a speed bump. Look at it without you red and blue glasses on. Our President is too sick to work, our CEO is a devisive influence within the club and amongst our sponsors. Connolly the Clown is unable to do his role effectively, whatever it actually is. Both are seriously compromised but remain at the club. The only person the club can turn to is a retired player who's media commitments mean he has a serious conflict of interest in working for the club. Our current coach has no desire to do the job. Did I mention all these guys are mates and clearly aren't accountable to anyone. Our captain is so far out of his depth it's embarrassing to watch. Our highest paid player on the longest contract has not fired a shot all year. Our Number 1 recruit and potential superstar of the game has clearly agreed to terms outside of the club and is still playing in the ones. And our playing list does not have one effective player over 22, not one!!! Speed bump my arse.
  15. I'm going to return to not reading your posts. You somehow manage to make less than no sense.
  16. You live in dream land. Scully is gone, has been for a while. Next to go will be Connolly, then half of Schwab's assistants, then in almost exactly a year Schwab will walk unless he can dramatically change his management style. Lyon will step in but what this club needs is a permanent successor to Stynes. I feel for the guy and his family. As much as he'd love to have the energy to run the show it appears he doesn't. Where this club is at right now we need a President with passion, street smarts, business and football knowledge, an unwavering will to succeed and an ability to inspire those around them. If it's Lyon so be it but if it's not let's get looking.
  17. The fact that the club is turning to Lyon to sort out the mess just shows how in the [censored] we are. How about the much needed talk of bringing "Premiership" people to the club. The head of our Football Operations coached Fremantle and besides obvious passion for the club he appears to bring little to the table. He doesn't even have the good grace to appear at the coaches final press conference. We appoint Viney as an interim coach ahead of all our assistant coaches. If none of them are capable of coaching for 5 weeks of what assistance were they to Bailey? Our President is a man of great integrity and courage and those he bought into the club to run the FD have let him down massively. We need to look outside the club at those who have succeeded elsewhere. It really feels like the last throw of the dice, oh, hang on we already rolled that didn't we.
  18. Couldn't give a toss if Sylvia is traded. He's as overrated on this site as Scully is overpaid by GWS
  19. I enjoy going when i know the side will have a real 4 quarter effort. Unfortunately that only happens against bottom 6 sides. No interest in watching Hawthorn pump us for the 8th time in a row. The result was exactly what I expected although I feel that pass from Sylvia and the Tapscott/Martin umpiring brain fade were important in the size of the hawks win.
  20. Actually I didn't go for all those reasons plus I'd just watched Cadel show some true grit and character and couldn't see the point in watching us get flogged by a bigger, better team with more heart than us. I watched the first 2.5 quarters on TV which is no way to watch footy, between the incessant ads and our turnovers I preferred going for a run. Add the fact that the scully situation leaves a bad taste in my mouth and I possibly won't go again this year.
  21. Frawley was wacked yesterday. At times he looked unfit, slow to react and disinterested. If that was a stellar job I'd hate to see him have a bad game
  22. It's a pity really. I'd have him running around for the Casey 2nd's.
