  1. Davey surrounded by Clark, Watts, Jurrah, Petterd (Howe) and Martin will most likely have an excellent Season. He has the smarts, burst of pace, tackling ability, kicking ability to be a weapon. Good coaching should make it a certainty. I'm all for it.
  2. Have heard that Scully's knee soreness has flared again.
  3. Flower Lyon Tingay Schwarz Viney Dursma Jakovich Stynes Hughes Dean
  4. Each new coaching group will trade and recruit different types of players. had we picked Martin and Trengove at 1 and 2 we'd be paying one of them too much to play for us or watching one in grey and orange. With the new clubs coming in and Sheedy's desire to derail the competition we were always going to struggle to keep all our players. Martin is know Richmond's highest paid player. Will that end up hurting them? Only time will tell. As a club we are ideally situated to whether the approaching storm of free trade. We have a balanced list and are front loading contracts. This year we had an emphasis on hard bodied players, which was an area we lacked in. By doing so we give the likes of Blease, Bennell, Gysberts, Cook, Jurrah,Morton and Fitzpatrick time to develop their bodies. Personally I think our list is in good shape and if Viney's half the player reported and we can snare some class with our compo picks we'll be up to our necks in this comp in the next few years.
  5. In other words Sheedy is saying "Tom has a saw knee that the whole of Australia hope buckles and we have to restrict his training and always will" Go F**k yourself you greedy bunch of scumbags
  6. Jones is nowhere near agile enough to play as a small forward
  7. I don't think people underrate him. He is a freakish talent who now plays in a competition that also needs him to be stronger, fitter, hungrier and more competitive than he's ever had to be before. People watch him play and can see how damaging he could be if he can take his intensity to another level.
  8. good, elite, goes missing, needs to get better, B+. I think you're confused about his talent. Try average midfielder, C+
  9. And you'll pay $1250 to go to a game of footy.
  10. Have a look at their stats against any top 6 side. Really goes to the heart of my point. I'll admit to being overly harsh in trying to prove a point. Jones is an honest toiler with several defiencies. Moloney is a battering ram who tends to grab and release. I'm really looking forward to one serious jet to enter our midfield to back up Grimes, Trengove, soon Viney and hopefully one of Gysberts, Morton or Blease plus at least one B++ from our 2 compo picks. Scully was to be that man but in case anyone missed it he and his old man screwed the system for 6.78 miillion.
  11. If you believe Moloney and Jones can be part of a top 4 midfield then my opinion is far more valid than yours. Name the last top 4 club with a C grade midfield
  12. Another average football writer goes. Big Deal. Won't be missed by me.. rarely read the Herald Sun
  13. With Jones and Moloney leading the midfield we won't finish top 4, simple
  14. This midfield won't win a flag or finish top 4
  15. Grimes, Nicholson, Tapscott, Bate, Bennell, Jetta, Evans, Blease, Mckenzie, Morton, Gysberts, Petterd are all young, keen and if fit and in form will be knocking on the door of that centreline. If not we'll improve very little on last year.
  16. The season is far from shot but our midfield remains our biggest impediment to flag success
  17. And where did our midfield rank in the competition? I don't really care what people think, the proof of their abilities lies in the ranking. Enough said.
  18. If Bartram, Tapscott, Moloney, Jones, Howe, Bail, Green, Rivers and Davey are all certainties to hold down a spot you clearly expect a massive improvement from them over last year. Can you explain why you think they will improve so much and how you expect the team to improve if they are certainties. For mine they are no certainties after Frawley, Trengove, Grimes (who you mysteriously have on the bench), Jamar, Garland, Watts and perhaps Martin. The centreline you advocate is Bail (unproven and injury prone), Moloney (Classic frontrunner and one trick pony, name one game against quality opposition in the last 2 years where he was any better than average, just quietly he's usually very poor in such games) Jones (spare me, a certainty! He gets limited possessions playing on the ball, butchers plenty of his disposals, is caught holding the ball more than most and along with Moloney is one of the reasons we have a third world midfield.
  19. What's worse is he's just behaving like our alot of today's corporate crowd. Money dominates to such an extent that to them any means to make it or appear powerful is not only ok but respected amongst their peers.
  20. B: Nicholson Martin Garland HB: Blease Frawley MacDonald C: Bail Jones Morton HF: Sylvia Watts Howe FF: Petterd Clark Davey F: Jamar Grimes Trengove INT: Gysberts Bate McKenzie Jurrah (sub) Other points. Sellar won't play unless injuries or talls being rested. Grimes must play midfield if we're going to get true benefit from him. Bennell could well replace a number on this list Jetta is a smoky Jurrah will need to do a stack of work to remain in the side. edit out Tapscott in MacDonald
