  1. Love what Gall and Campbell are showing. Gall just jumps at everything, crashing packs and has a strong pair of hands. Campbell doing similar. Rather than look at Bannan's 3rd goal....notice what Gall does in the background to make sure an opponent is dispatched to give Alyssa the free shot. That is the sign of a real footballer who knows how to play forward.
  2. ...and ovals! Hawthorns new site development at Dingley is around the $120M mark
  3. We haven’t had one for the past 12 months…and doesn’t it show!
  4. What a great win. Thankfully Adelaide couldn't kick straight, but hey!. This was a good example of how the game has changed. None of the outside run, handball, spectacular type stuff we have been using in the past. Suddenly our error rate drops away and we didn't give the opposition the rebound chances that have previously killed us. Just tough, relentless, kick the ball no matter what type of football. And it worked against a side that is just loaded, loaded with talent on each and every line. They continue to be a dramatic outlier in the competition as a result of only one SA team for too long. Thanks AFL! It will be 10 years before they drop away. We now have to continue this type of boring, un-exciting brand if we want to be competitive. Especially with so many injuries. Lots to be excited about, with Gall and Campbell showing plenty, and they are not going to get any smaller. Those telling contested marks just were critical when needed. And the backline with Goldy and Chaplin again taking critical marks and contest held out the very best. We would have been overwhelmed by them otherwise.
  5. Sounds like a load of cobblers when the MFC total assets are barely 1/2 of the claimed "branding value"....... whatever that means!
  6. Exactly. People will realise at the end we have no trade capital in terms of draft picks, or players other than ANB of any value. Tomlinson may find another home ....for another meaningless draft pick for us.
  7. Posters shall stop seeking personal information about others in open forum. If you wish that information then DM the individual. Certain posters, by doing this are pushing the boundaries that can lead to legal action, with the unsubstantiated allegations they have been making. Stop it!
  8. We stopped trying to handball constantly in this game, it doesn't work in 2024. . Maybe Mick has finally got the message.... just kick the thing to get territory, especially since we now have a number of players who can kick 40m. Love Pisano and what she will offer for the future. Strong, fast and a natural footballer. The sooner we get her into the middle the better. Probably not this year though.
  9. Exactly. so the picks to replace the 6th and 7th player will be in the nineties and beyond . Probably, already got to get rid of Fullarton, Billing’s next year with TMac and Melk to retire, because we couldn’t afford to have 9 players gone this year.
  10. Home games. You don't get reserved seats to away. And I have responded to the Premium member survey to highlight this in the same way as happened to @The heart beats true. Every Collingwood and Carlton game, their supporters have had to be thrown out of Tridents area. But only after the members have pointed it out to security staff.
  11. No..the return in terms of yield from the pokies was far greater than what could be gained from any investment which is not in the junk bond-crypto type areas. They would have to reach about 10% return to just break even from what we had before.
  12. ...and unfortunately the members will find out once the financials come out this year without pokies revenue. Meanwhile other clubs still have theirs or are going to "divest" sometime......
  13. Nothing to do with us. It’s for their own development at the track.
  14. Please keep the conversation on topic. If personal information is sought, then DM the individual.
  15. …..and don’t forget the admin side of things. We currently occupy broom cupboard space in the MCG spread over several areas. It is amateur in the extreme.
  16. There is a reason why players are ‘cheap’ or ‘depth’…..especially when they were high draft picks. We don’t need any more list cloggers.
  17. Exactly. How many times did we turn it over kicking back into the corridor? Why no Paxman in the middle instead of Mithen who has no strength? The game has changed Mick.
  18. ...and don't our players know it. They have friends who they played with, who are now at other clubs, so they know exactly what others have and we don't. They will have seen for themselves with just a short trip across the road to Collngwood or to Tullarmarine, or to Whitten oval or to Carlton, or know what Hawthorn are building at Dingley.
  19. Good to see his turnovers improved......Oh yeah! Can't kick 40m. Wouldn't have played in the last rounds if Windsor was available.
  20. It gets shut down during the Australian open, at the peak of the pre season. No closed sessions can be run at Goschs for tactical drills. We don’t have an indoor facility at AAMI like every other club in the competition, and the one at Casey was built for VFL-AFLW, and is still only half the size of what others have.
  21. …..and then back again. At least 2 hours each time that could be spent in further training or enjoying life instead of sitting on the Monash freeway car park.
  22. Thanks...missed that one, but we still won the "lost members" premiership by a long margin..... ...and all manner of membership types are counted. e.g I count for 3 memberships with AFLW, MCC and Tridents but there is still only 1 me. Truth is we only have about 40K real live bodies who are eligible to vote
  23. Most importantly we lost 5,306 members. Only 3 other clubs lost members in 2024. Richmond with 2,860, Essendon with 2,610 and North with 456. Those numbers for us will drop again next year off the back of a 14th place. Asleep at the wheel is a good description of what has been going on behind the scenes.
  24. The fight is over the mounting yard and the grandstand ( demolish or not). It has nothing to do with the stables where we want to go.
