I reckon last years trade and draft period is seriously under-rated. It is accepted that we did well but could anyone consider how bad 2014 would have been without Tyson, Vince and Cross. These guys seem to have grasp on what they are doing. A strong, quick, semi developed KPD sounds pretty good. I suppose we could have given up 23 for Dan Merrett which was probably the other option??

Has a body ready to go. Getting a KPD through the draft requires a 3 year wait till they are ready to match it with the big boys. We lost an established KPD and got ND3 we paid ND23 for a young KPD and got 40 and 53 back. The deal has real potential. 2 years already invested and his value is still low. We saw Frost > players at ND23. Were there any better KPDs on the market?

This is the problem when you have an under-performing playing list. Really what do people think we would get for a Watts or similar? If we don't value them chances are the rest of the competition, (whose baseline player is vastly better than ours) won't either. There is no easy answer unfortunately. Our young players just must improve, and we must nail the draft. We have done as well as we could in the trade period. Lumumba will be close to our best player next season and Garlett potentially fills a hole that we have had for years.
