  1. As will Watts. With a decent midfield around him. As Priddis very modestly said in accepting the Brownlow - "it's easy for me, I'm an inside mid and just have to win the ball. I can control my performance much more easily than the guys on the wing or at half forward are able to". Many posters here seem not to get this with Watts. Fortunately, Roos does.
  2. Fair dinkum, Priddis is a legend.
  3. Weird really. Frawley's not remotely been in the votes, yet his contract seems to be getting fatter each week. Not bad for a loyal, country boy. From Geelong, no wait from Freo. Nope, sorry - from Sydney.
  4. Hope he does. We might then be the only club who can afford him AND have the required picks to trade.
  5. I like Dunn. He's a good Demon.
  6. Hope Vince gets on the juice hard with Danger following the Brownlow tonight. This is when the real discussions can be had and commitments then made.
  7. Don't reckon we'll get Mitchell either.
  8. But that's only when I'm wearing Sex Panther by Odeon, which is not all the time.
  9. And a simply awesome player.
  10. You serious?! Bloody hell.
  11. I am in a totally good mood about this.
  12. Roos might be flying back tomorrow. Thanks otherwise for the info PB. I really hope we land Goodwin. And Dangerfield.
  13. Regrettably, I suspect you're on the money here.
  14. Just had dinner with a mate who sponsors the Dons. Said he had a night out with Goodwin a while back, along with Hird et ors. Said Goodwin presented as a top bloke and a thoroughly impressive potential future senior coach and that the entire Essendon coaching staff absolutely rated him, including James Turd. We must get him.
  15. I have no doubt about our capacity to pay. My question really concerns our capacity to attract. Then again, if anyone can do it, Roos can.
  16. Anyone still think the loyal country boy might still sign with the MFC?
  17. Let's have a crack at getting Stef back instead.
  18. I'll slap back. And I'm actually on the money with this slap. Mitch is also an absolute pretender when it comes to his photography. He's literally a mile off if he wants to make it in the visual arts. For a start, he has no CV. At all. Being an AFL player may open many doors, but it doesn't give one immediate credibility in the arts. For a start, the work I've seen looks hopelessly 'commercial'. Just sayin' ...
  19. Bloody hell. I love the idea of getting Dangerfield, but surely that's in the category of extreme 'overs'.
  20. Who do you think Port would've selected with pick 4 in that draft, picket? Anyone have the inside scoop for that matter?
  21. Posted this on the 'trades' thread but perhaps more relevant to this one. ... I agree. Toumpas looks okay to me. His greatest crime appears to have been in being selected ahead of Ollie Wines. Hardly his fault, and not the only player in that draft to be selected above him. In fact, it'd be interesting to know who Port would've selected with pick 4 if they were in our position. As we all know, all the clubs had Toumpas going ahead of Wines on draft day. That Wines would now be selected ahead of most in the league is a completely different issue.

  23. All top 20 picks. Sweet drafting.
  24. Would be promising if it was then followed by Vince and Tex walking into the local real estate agent's office ...
