Demon scarves
Given we get 6 new scraps every year and in WA maybe wear them once or twice :(. A blanket is on the cards. The quality of the scarves has really declined over the last few years.

2020 Financials: Reduced Debt Despite Loss
While interest are low for "households" but not sure what the commercial rates are? Rather have zero debt and that is the safest way to be in the current climate, massively reduces the risk to the club.

Eddie Set to Stand Down
Cats president has made the same announcement, end of 2021.

2020 AFL Draft
Obviously not by the people that matter in the club. Unless you have a top 5 pick, its mostly speculation and 2020 being the year it has with little footy in many states, recruiters would be working off their 2019 knowledge and character of players.

AFLW: 2021 Fixture
So happy the conference is gone, totally screwed us a few years ago. When are they going to get a proper full season and play everyone at least once.

Kobe Farmer
On memory it took his dad to settle down early on, if he's got his dad's smarts he'll make it.

MFC Football Technology Pathway Program & Volunteers
They have clarified its aimed at uni students and a few other points. (Not being a legal HR person) Illegality is only promising it will become F/T paid work if you work X for free. In this case it is not, totally agree that is not on. If your at uni, this i a great opportunity for those interested in a sporting field of work in the support skills. As pointed out focusing on the Uni market and not a blanket ad was maybe their misstep. I would support my kids to do it, if it matched their ambitions.

MFC Football Technology Pathway Program & Volunteers
I disagree about the sentiments on the adversitment. If I was at uni /younger and wanted experience in those fields or recently graduated, I would jump at this opportunity. (besides being at the Dee's). The skills and networking to break into a tough industry would be immense. While I agree you get paid for what work you do, its up front and clear on what you need give and you'll get in return, and I can say to a future employee this in my track record working within an "elite" sporting organisation and what I helped achieve. Beats putting only Macca's/subway on a resume. I imagine in the past this would have been arranged directly with a university as part of their academic program. (Been involved in those in the past). Maybe covid has changed that and it presents an opportunity for others to get in.

Gawn: Dees Ready for Success
People remember actions not talk.... time to walk the walk. But typical fluff piece.

Adam Treloar
The AFL will mediate. The article states there was an internal number agreed upon for the deal "$300k" it seems and they signed off on it. If I were the dogs I would enforce the original agreement, if not they can tell the pies to have him back. Because it's apparently leading to them having cap issues.

Another Footy Frenzy for 2021
It could go both ways! They could match the weaker side to keep ongoing competition for spots in the 8 till the last round, That could be a win, depending your season. Or you plain manipulation to get a "big" club into the finals for revenue by giving them weaker sides to play. Though overall a more flexible fixture could result in a closer season.

Another Footy Frenzy for 2021
No they screwed us with the positive test. Meant we missed that break to reset later in the season when it was in the frenzy. I liked the frenzy being WA I go to watch more footy as it was over the week, not over 3/4 days. More footy the better. Now that is has been done, I can see it becoming a regular part of the season. But in the long term the response may be like the baseball, footy where they have specialist players that rotate through to reduce fatigue.

Billy Stretch Reflects on 12 Months Out of the Game
Great article and of all the hiccups the AFL does, the player support during and post career must be close to world best.

Hopes for the final trade day
Getting more picks in 2021 draft, apparently shaping up to be one of the best in while, almost super.

AFL Trade Radio
Yeah that injury was at the worst time, he found form again over a number of games. The question is what impact has it had on him since and can it be fixed. Hopefully it can.

Geelong’s continued assistance from state, federal, and local govt
I wouldn't mind a much higher inflation, deflates the true cost of my mortgage against a rising salary. Pretty much how people quickly paid off houses until the recession we had to have. Yes interest rates would be higher but I'd be getting faster pay rises.

AFL Trade Radio
Early in the piece, clubs have just let player go, this is now changing as they see the impact of restricted agents moving without a decent compensation. Seems we are seeing a shift in how RFA works. Plus the "lower" clubs should have more salary cap room to match the payments. What i can't believe is the sums supposedly being offered by the saints! How big is the total player cap?
-
AFL Trade Radio
They should match it, same as GWS. What deal is he been offered?

Jesse Hogan on the way out at Freo?
They would know him best of all the suiters. Obviously he's not in a good place or wanted too much.
-
Hamish Brayshaw
Only seem a little of him, 1 game and preseason games, but didn't make an impact after 2 years, so I would say no.

2020 Brownlow Medal
Is this his partner or a "date" a lot of boys go with a model if they don't have a partner etc Always a glamorous lady who wants to go out for thew evening and get some publicity.

Finals Week 2
Terrible game, eps. saints kicking at goal, robbed themselves of any chance. But you can see from the outset they could not handle the pressure that tigers bought to the game, could not adjust to the higher tempo as a team.
