  2. He will absolutely be getting minutes across these games
  3. I've got no doubts McAdam will play round one barring an injury. I don't think many understand how much of the forward line strategy involves him.
  4. Trash when compared to this: https://www.westernbulldogs.com.au/video/1486959/unleashed-cody-weightman?videoId=1486959&modal=true&type=video&publishFrom=1707289070886
  5. I think it's time to place on record how poor our media output has been since the departure of Ben Gibson. Training photos, the odd awkward interview and generic reprocessed information. I understand the strategy of the club this off & pre-season has been to close up shop and let their footy work do the talking but I truly believe the lack of insightful and creative media content will impact membership numbers, engagement and anticipation ahead of the season. Our website still shows the exciting launch of the 2023 merchandise range. We never hear from Gary Pert or Simon Goodwin unless it's a members forum or AGM. Andy Moniz Wakefield's re-signing was never announced, we are none the wiser on his contract length. I've just gone on to a few other random AFL club pages for context. The Bulldogs have a unique video feature where Cody Weightman (and others) have been filmed from their morning coffee, routine once they get to the club with even a snippet of Luke Beveridge's whiteboard strategy session. It's a unique insight without giving too much away. Sydney have released a 15 minute video from their training camp at Coffs Harbour which shows the player bonding up close and how these camps play out. We know the powers at be read the forum so please place more resources in this area. Love from all of your fans!
  6. I believe his partner will be relocating across from ADL and has been spending a lot of time here in the meanwhile. McAdam will be a brilliant player for us this season. He's not here for his endurance, he's here for his freakish talents inside the 50. Appreciate your support of him also WCW.
  7. Selwyn has a very different personality and approach to Darren
  8. Salem did so much conditioning in his off-season that he can now stagger his pre-season which the club are now particularly keen to do given his history of thyroid related illness.
  9. Clarry returned to the club privately late last week to discuss navigating the aus day long weekend and set out plans for training Wednesday when the cameras would be out. Richo was filmed Tuesday afternoon for the pre-season update.
  10. Still training with Freo who are going to come super hard for JVR.
  11. Daniel Nicholson another who absolutely trained the house down. The best runner I've seen at the MFC.
  12. Unbelieve to see the #13 back out there. Go well Clarry ❤️‍🔥
  13. The last of all AFL clubs to put their 2024 playing jumper up for sale despite it clearly being decided on long before Windsor's unveiling. It's like the club don't want retail sales 🤦‍♂️
  14. Why do we have to shift him at all when he's performing well in the role he's in?
  15. He had a personal issue which meant he didn't train for a period at the start of the season. He didn't lose his spot to anyone in particular. He then had a minor injury in Rounds 19-23 and couldn't get back into the team for finals.
  16. Have been told Howes is ready to impact in the back half.
  17. The facilities working group consists of Kate Roffey, David Rennick, Geoff Porz, Gary Pert, Alan Richardson, George de Crispegny and Chris Kearon. They meet fortnightly and far more regularly as and when required by Caulfield, the AFL & State government namely. Updates are provided at all board meetings. There is no website and Gary Pert is quick to inform any one that its workings are highly commercial in confidence.
  18. A lot of other clubs returning today, including a grand finalist.
  19. A well placed source told me that Blake Howes does some unbelievable things on the training track and is ready to explode. The source compared his fend off and running as looking very similar to Chad Warner.
  20. Johanniesen was electric that day. Hardly been the same player since.
  21. Thank you so much Luci.
  22. That's Harvey Langford. He's a Dandenong Stingrays player who is training with the club for exposure. He's touted as a high pick.
  23. Dear Members, I am thrilled to share with you the exciting news that yesterday we received funding to commence the feasibility study to identify the ideal location for the Club's long-term home base within the expansive Caulfield Racecourse Reserve. As we formally embark on this journey, I wanted to take a moment to outline the key details of this significant development. This feasibility study is a pivotal component of a broader project that will deliver elite and community sport and recreation resources, assets, and services within the Caulfield Racecourse Reserve. From the Melbourne Football Club perspective, I am genuinely excited about the possibilities this project holds for our Club. The feasibility study represents a significant step forward in the development of a new home base that will shape the Club for the next 50 years and beyond. Our aims are clear. Firstly, this will provide our players, coaches, and football staff with state-of-the-art, high-performance facilities that enable them to prepare and perform at their best in the demanding Australian sporting landscape. Secondly, for the first time in three decades, this development will allow Melbourne members and supporters to connect with our players, coaches, staff and Club leaders at a centrally located Melbourne Football Club home base. Our connection to Glen Eira is already strong. It is part of the traditional Heartland of the Melbourne Football Club, with many of our Club members and supporters living in the area. It was also a historical and very successful recruiting zone for the Demons, delivering Club greats Robbie Flower, Greg Wells and Stan Alves. We are delighted to know our future home will remain in the Melbourne heartland. Our goal is to not only provide for the Melbourne Football Club, but to also contribute positively to sport and recreation opportunities for the wider community, particularly within the Glen Eira area. This initiative will be a collaborative effort, bringing together the expertise and commitment of the Caulfield Racecourse Reserve Trust (CRRT), the Melbourne Football Club, and local community stakeholders. This is a prospect that fills me with immense pride and enthusiasm. Further information and a detailed presentation on this development will be provided at the upcoming Annual General Meeting next week. I encourage you to attend, as we delve deeper into the specifics of the feasibility study and the impact this will have on our Club. I extend my sincere gratitude to the CRRT for their unwavering support and commitment to this project, along with the many staff and community stakeholders who have been part of this journey to date. Together, we are poised to embark on a journey that will have a significant long-term impact on the future of the Melbourne Football Club. As always, I thank you for your ongoing support of your football club and look forward to updating you on this exciting venture at the Annual General Meeting next Tuesday night.
