It is hard to believe that the club would release the news if it wasn’t at least sure that funding could be secure by some trusted means, albeit timely news to settle a disgruntled supporter base. I can’t help but feel the Glen Eira serving face of the campaign is very flawed. I believe this a project that will truly indulge only the MFC and very vaguely the racing club. Private investment through Yourland has been explored and knocked back. Perhaps there is someone else willing to front up.

ANB trained in match sim with Casey players yesterday so may be rested. No other changes on the horizon except for a new sub to replace Melk. It may be Laurie or Woey who both trained well in the white team.

It has tonight been decided that a review will be undertaken post season to ensure we have the staff most capable of maximising the talent within the club. It is believed there is a lot of player support behind the current regime but there are others associated with the club who believe changes are neccesary.

We have spoken to his manager about this for 2026 and I'm certain there is a level of mild interest in him playing for Melbourne but he's said that he's very very happy at Freo. His Victorian partner and he have a place in East Freo. She's happy too.

We have lobbied for additional room at Melbourne Park as the Rebels exit and have been told to get do one. The Storm & Victory will be able to expand their footprint and rightly so given they play out of and train permanently at the facility and aren't actively looking to exit.

I don't get as much intel as I once did but the last thing I heard is that Petty is keen to get back to Adelaide.
