How do I find my avatar and put it back on?

Would have thought that Chris would be an asset in membership, marketing, foundation, functions etc. He is a qualified Phys Ed teacher as well so involvement in schools trying to sell the MFC brand to unaligned kids would also be a plus. I could also imagine any sponsorship proposal that has him selling the club while the others concentrate on the financial aspect is an improved pitch. He has done a lot for us and hopefully he is in an area where he can again make a difference.

Sheedy clearly works to his own agenda. See the outrage when one of his own, Harvey was sacked by the Dockers. Contrast with the silence when Knights was sacked by the Dons and replaced by the lovechild and the lieing second favourite son from the Cats.

I am trying to come to grips with your two opening sentences to start with. You say you are not interested in "great speeches or talking to the fans" and then you say he should be a "voice of the club". Then you say in regard to being "the voice" he has been absent this year. Perhaps that has somehting to do with the fact that his dad died earlier this year, the coach was sacked by the President and Garry and he was accused of not getting on with others in the club. Maybe he thought that he should speak less at this time. Next as General Manager of Footy Operations I am sure he overseas recruiting, coaching and list management, without actually recruiting players, managing the list and coaching , which are all the jobs of the heads of each area.To do otherwise would be to interfere. Next you say Bailey was sacked because there was disunity between the CEO, Board and Bailey. Why is that Chris's fault? Did the performance of the team have anything to do with his sacking? Was he coaching the way we all agreed was improving the team? Did we have a workable game plan? Was he developing players? These might be the real reasons he was sacked. Last you say you don't see from the outside that he contributes anything vital and is a cause of instability. Your basis for saying he is a cause for instability is......? He is the Footy Manager of the club and is charged with overseeing the various departments on the footy division of the club. He does not go on TV and show everyone what he does on a daily basis. Do you know what a Footy Manager does? What areas do you say he is not covering properly? Do you know any other Footy Managers in the AFL how would you assess their work? I am not saying Chris is the best thing sliced bread, I just don't like the way some people attack people doing their job without any knowledge of the factual situation.

You are not alone there. Even a couple of journos have commented on it. Yesterday however, when all is said and done, the scum lost, what could be better?

Let's give our club some credit for appointing who they believe is the best candidate. I note Garry has said all along we will get our man. It is easy to go after names but they are not always the best fit. As someone else has posted the last few flags were mainly won by new coaches, eg, Clarkson, Roos, Worsfold, Thompson, Williams etc. Maybe we can add Neeld to that list in the near future. If we add the experience of Craig as is rumoured, all the better. I am going to be excited until I see solid reasons why I shouldn't be. Let's get behind him and support him and our players as a positive vibe always helps.

Any AFL team that doesn't make the GF should sack their Coach. Clearly according to many that is the sign of failure in a Coach. That way we can get 16 new coaches each year. Think of the headlines. Think of the threads on Demonland and all other boards. We could knock all other sports off the front pages. The only problem I see, is that some will agree with me.

So Bailey wasn't at Port when they won the flag?

Sorry to be blunt but I am glad no one on here is picking our coach, because including me, they wouldn't have a clue how good a coach Neeld is.

Not sure how Cale Morton came into this discussion but he is 4 inches taller than Stretch. Cale could yet become a key position player.
