  1. While reading Demonland I went on you tube and don't yell at me people but I have enjoyed can't Speak French by Girls Aloud. Good song and great visual. Now listening to Sly and Family Stone greatest hits. Better than bananas.
  2. Agree. His best games at Casey and the last game against Port where he was one of our few good players he was in the middle. He was recruited as a mid but tried as a forward because of his size and turning circle. I note that Ling is also awkward and slow and has played 246 games for the Cats and 2 flags as a mid.
  3. Excuse me. Do you mean to say most players traded are traded while contracted?
  4. Dangerfield is contracted so its all moot. Better to concentrate on realistic targets.
  5. Not sure. If they did I will try and get a copy of the entire broadcast and listen to it at night to put me to sleep.
  6. Agree. Courage personified. Brilliant attack on the ball. Can hurt the opposition. Booming kick. Needs a bit of work on pace. Looking forward to see him play in a well coached MFC side.
  7. For those not content with the trade news on Demonland, the AFL has set up Trade Week Radio on their site. Now you will be able to listen to the one trade done each day discussed ad nauseum. I can already feel the tension as they wait for the next trade to be done. Can you imagine the suspense as we wait for the next trade and on days where there is no deal done the prognostications will be absolutely riveting. Oh lord let this week go on forever.
  8. I will have to see where I am at. Currently being interviewed for Saints senior coaching position and Magpies senior assistant. My record precedes me.
  9. Probably have more luck with that.
  10. A ha. We should ask the AFL for a one off exemption on the F/S rule, given the highly unusual and never happened before circumstance of our priority pick being taken by a new club with the AFL's imprimatur on the deal.
  11. No we have to give our next pick after the one offered by the other club. Clubs don't nominate for Viney until next year.
  12. Imagine the change to our team if we added the names O'Meara, Crouch, Viney and maybe Stretch in the next couple of years. Sounding exciting when you remember who we got over the last few years minus one of course.
  13. Tip Watters for Coach with Ayres as Senior Assistant. Posted this earlier this week (in relation to St. Kilda's vacant coaching position). Interested to see if I am close. At the time Barrett named 10 coaches being interviewed but did not include Ayres.
  14. Can you trade next years first round pick to GWS as part of a deal. Even if we don't know what the pick would be, what is there to stop us having an arrangement that we give GWS our first round pick next year and they give us say their 4th round pick whatever it is and we give a compo pick and pick 12 this year and they give us back a slightly later pick to get O'Meara. Then we give pick in round 2 to get Viney being our highest pick as long as we have traded other compo pick or don't activate it until following year. Convoluted isn't it?
  15. I wouldn't. If however we gave one compo pick and pick 12 and got a later pick from GWS in return and then threw in a player or two I would. Warnock, Bate, Dunn, Maric may be of interest for a year or two while GWS builds. If Suns are offering pick 4 in this years draft and GWS already have 123 &5 plus more that is not a big win for GWS. Our compo pick is good for next year in a better draft. A few big bodied experienced players though not stars is not to be sneezed at for a new team of mainly 18 year old players.
  16. No we haven't . That is why we are where we are.
  17. Not to mention the fact that I am an undefeated Coach of the Demonland/Demonology team.
  18. Second highest goal kicker with 37 goals and most contested marks for the mighty demons in 2011 . Really woeful.
  19. Agree. You might try and do a deal for say Bate or Dunn as at least they are on the park, unlike Gumbleton and then hope our medical staff can get him right. He has hardly done anything in his time at the Bombers and they may have had enough. If he then failed with us it wouldn't be a catastrophe. He turns 24 next year and has played 22 games since 2007 and none this year. Hardly a star.
