    “Accepting” I think you meant.
  2. Richo said we won’t be asking the AFL for a pick now. Apparently content with our position of 2 players down.

Good luck. Think he just signed a new contract late last year. He is supposed to be great mates with Howes. Maybe the go home factor can arise.
  4. Pretty different acts to me. One was a king hit behind play, the other was a bump to the head sort of in play. One was a criminal assault and the other a bit of rough/dirty play. Collingwood lost John Greening to a king hit years ago by Saint Jim O’Dea. Greening could have been anything, he was brilliant.

Hope you are ok WCW. Come back soon, with your effervescent optimism for the Dees.

Labi Siffre a favourite of mine. It must be love.
  9. It does feel like there is an agenda.

Trying to take my mind off all things Dees, I just bought the magic, bread fresh container from Global Direct. I am looking forward to eating bread that is not covered in mould.
  11. I think that will ultimately be the scenario, as Verrall looks to be really improving. KFW is still a chance in the next few years, if he can put on some muscle. Pity he isn't a bit taller, but then again he is the same height as LJ and was very highly regarded by the SA state coach.

Another quiet week for the Dees.
  13. He was medically retired by the AFL as I understand it. I stand to be corrected if that is wrong, but I think Gus was saying he didn’t want to retire. Ralph just wrote that the league medically retired Brayshaw and that will impact on who pays his contract.
  14. Tom Morris said he would receive every cent, it's just a question of who pays, club, AFL or Insurer, or a combination.
  15. Given this an AFL directive through their medical team to retire him, the timing of this has impacted a club severely and the AFL should simply give us another 7-14 days, to take a replacement if we want to. They have done this, not Gus. It is the AFL's timing. Are we saying they got the medical report only on wednesday. Highly unlikely, as medical people would have had to meet and discuss it.
  16. Given the AFL is part of the Officialdom forcing the retirement, surely we are given a few more days to take a SPP player.
  17. It will be way more than that, with more players gone.

Sad day for the Dees and even sadder for Gus.
  19. Maynard and Cripps put players out of finals with head knocks, knocking them out cold and ended one's career and their punishment was a Premiership and a Brownlow. Well done AFL.
  20. No, not footy, just the way it is administered and portrayed by a pathetic, agenda driven and biased media. Gus, thank you for all your contribution to the MFC, enjoy your premiership and have a great life after footy.

Manure can help flowers grow, we are still very capable of blooming.
  22. Yes, forgot the Cars song.
  23. Yes, 1 game.
