If the reason is really a new start, then better in Geelong with a stronger club and a bit out of the city. Wonder what Cats would offer. If Chip ended up there as well they would have 3 of our talls in 2 years. It would be a great thing for footy for the bottom side to lose 3 players to a top side. Interesting that Ryder at first said he was unhappy with Bombers and wanted to go to Brisbane, to be close to his partner's family. He is on a contract. I am aware of the get out clause. Disagree to an extent. A lot of deals are done before trade week. Players often nominate the club they want to go to before trade week as well. I wouldn't be leaving everything to trade week, or you end up with other clubs' scraps.
