WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - ANGUS BRAYSHAW
Redleg replied to ashdemons22's topic in Melbourne Demons
That would stop Saints nominating Stretch and Ryder would stop Port. More chance of Billy getting to our 3rd round. -
I see your point. Then let Geelong quickly hand over their first round pick for a player they think can be in their 22 and help win them another flag. Let them not waste our time.

If you are talking about O'Rourke, I posted after watching him in a couple of gamesthat he would fit in perfectly with us as he had poor disposal. Therefore we agree. -

Ridiculous. A 3 place upgrade for 2 good players. GWS are not that stupid, are they? -
And mine. 186 is still in my mind and now there is Rivers, MC and possibly Chip. This club hurts us.

Joke. I have lived with Norm Smith's Curse for 50 years. -

Surely. -
This was from a player manager. Must be a genius. I have an old commodore to swap him for a new Ferrari. He should be ringing me soon.
-
So, our Co Captain missed a set shot from 3 metres out on a 45 degree angle in the NT game this year against Port.

The tradie was Paul Connors brother. Better? -
I was keen on Butcher for a few years but he has failed to live up to early promise. HOWEVER, a swap for Blease is a no brainer, as Butcher might improve and if he doesn't, so what, we have lost nothing.

Agree absolutely with the hardball approach.I would line up the Pies as a backstop and tell them we will try and steer him to them if Cats won't do a proper deal. Then because of Rivers, MC and probably Chip I would demand Cats first pick or tell them we have a deal ready to go with Pies.

You ask the question at the AGM and demand an answer, as long as confidential medical info wasn't part of the answer.

Agree. If the Saints know we won't take McCartin, they could still get him at 4 if we keep 2 & 3 and they get a player from GWS for giving them Petracca while they still get the guy they really want. What a great deal, for the Saints. The only danger for the Saints would be if we trade 2 or 3 to a club that want McCartin. Wight would then be the consolation prize. I am actually warming to taking Brayshaw and McCartin then Stretch and more mids. Could this be the chance to get our Buddy and Roughy with McCartin and Hogan. All we would need if they are good in coming drafts and trades would be class mids. -
Agree. If we get these three we can concentrate purely on mids. We should be able to trade and draft at least 7 of them. That should be a good start. We replace a non playing MC with Merrett, add HL to the back line as a ball carrier and a promising young key back and possible forward. We have pick 3 to use for 1-2 players. Stretch is added. I say we are moving in the right direction.
-
Gee now we are attacking our own players for showing a bit of loyalty to a former team mate. No wonder players don't want to come to us, we are on the bottom and our fans attack their own players. Get over it. See the post after yours by DD 4385.

As long as he is prepared to go there.

You mean on the field.

2-3 years of his experience and toughness at both ends of the ground. If not too expensive, a yes from me. Would help a Frost and McD too. Even could help Hogan up forward.
-
That is my fear.

We are not doing our job unless we question the draft perks of other clubs and the fixture.

Art is a wonderful thing.

Buckley wants him out of the club. There are no other takers. He has a 1 year contract left with the Pies. We are in a strong position to deal. -
You read my mind. It is also the Lucas Cook selection and I was too scared to mention it.
